This is truly inspirational! It's my dream to become a motoring journalist & i have been working soo hard for it! Thiugh I've been focusing on the motoring part( knowing about new bikes/cars, working with them, riding them both street/track) I wanted to start writing on them! balasubramanian senthilkumar: I am an online student of Deepak sir and what I learned from him is just be passionate and always motivated for what you are doing. This means you must be just crazy with your topic and never get bored with that. For competition, when Deepak sir started there was brain Dean and Neil Patel out there with best name in field of blogging and digital marketing, in fact there were many offline institutes where people just pay blindly huge money to learn digital marketing. Then also he invested his time and money to grow the blog and his career. In short you must be passionate and enough knowledgeable in your field that at least you can be best in your city for start. Hope this helped to select topic :)

Don't think too much. As Deepak has suggested, starting is important and things will fall automatically into place. I started somewhere and after few years I am successful somewhere else. But, by starting, I made some mistakes, learnt the tricks of the trade and moved ahead. As time went by, I could identify the topic which interests me and also which had good market. So, START now. Your first blog may be an experiment.
