Interesting video. At around 3:30, u introduce the nickel titanium wire. It's crazy how what seems like such little force applied by that wire can move teeth/bone....still hard to wrap my head around that. Like does that wire really apply that much force, or is it just the slight continuous pressure that does that? Also, can that wire expand teeth too ?

Yes it's light continuous force. Most wires cannot expand teeth but tips teeth outwards.

The only way I know of having someone pay for your schooling is going into the Army/Navy or something equivalent. They will pay for your schooling but you have to give them equal amount of years of service. It's actually worth it if you go to an expensive school. Other then that study like crazy at every chance you get!

But they say that they didn’t usually put a colored rubber bands in the bottom braces. What do you think Dr. Nate? I was upset because I thought there’s a colored rubber bands both but not. im getting my braces removed exactly in a month. I had horrible teeth before. Now everything is alligned but I have Midline Asymmetry. My dentist already worked on this with elastic but i dont know why he told me to stop wearing them . Any guessses?

Hmmm. Not sure. Could be many things but I would ask your Orthodontist to explain it well to you because that shouldn't be something that hard to explain.

Hey Garrison. I actually think having things like smile direct club etc is better for orthodontics right now. So many more patients are exposed to ortho marketing which makes my job actually easier because more people are seeking orthodontists!

Hey doc, my son got braces 3 weeks ago and he’s lost 4 brackets. He lost the first one the day after getting them on, the next one he was brushing and it fell off the day after he lost the first bracket then a week after that two just popped off and still stuck to the wire right now. They’re just kinda hanging there they’re not connected to the tooth. Now his wires are moving side to side. He’s not eating anything he isn’t supposed too and is taking care of them so why are they popping off so easily? This shouldn’t be normal right? I had braces and did everything I wasn’t supposed to do and NEVER lost a bracket. Did they do a crappy job putting them on? On our way back from getting them on those blue things u put on your back teeth(on top) to keep you from hitting the brackets (turbos I think is what u call them) fell off and had to drive back and get it fixed 😡 did I get ripped off lol. When they fell off the glue is all on the bracket, no glue is left on the tooth.does this cause delay in his treatment?

Sounds like saliva got in the way when bonding the teeth. It happens sometimes but if it keeps happening that's definitely not good.
