Ricky Pearsall sold me on himself when he said he plans on training with Brock because he knows he from AZ and then he asked the niner faithful on Twitter things he should know about the franchise. If this guy cares about the small stuff, how seriously is he going to take the big stuff like memorizing the playbook and understanding the offense?

Dog, if this is Julian Edelman 2.0 it's a slam dunk. He's a great athlete, he catches everything, and he can make up for inaccurate QB play. So when he has a QB who CAN be accurate, I'm sure his numbers will go up

@@jikan-tabi-1888 I swear, I was watching the film, and every time he caught a ball, I was like "Jesus, these qbs are awful!" Hospital passes, sailing it, short arming, borderline sabotage. There were tons of plays where he'd make a crazy catch through contact, but Ricky got so open that if the QB was accurate, he'd have gotten big time yac. Like, the numbers don't tell the whole story. Even Steve Smith Sr was saying, those QBs were doing Ricky zero favours. That's kinda in part why I think he could be good. Cause it's one thing to look good with Michael penix throwing to you, or CJ Stroud. But those QBs reminded me of, dare I say, Jimmy G sometimes! I 1000% agree with you on that point

They wanted to make Aiyuk happy and assure him that he's their guy moving forward but they understand he needs help. So they drafted a Pearsall, a great compliment to Aiyuk that he texted is approval on. Aiyuk has been a leader on this team but placed in the shadows behind the other big name stars but that's all about to change. What JT was to Rice. Ricky will be to B.A. for At least the next 4-5 seasons. He's a older WR they've already expressed interest in his 5th yr option from the door. He is here to COMPLIMENT B.A. Nothing more nothing less. His willingness to accept that particular role in this offense is why taking "him" at pick 31 NOT A REACH. I hope ppl understand there's only so many balls to go around in a offense that was already highly productive. Slick Rick will steal some targets away from Deebo and Kittle and probably some playing time from Jennings but Aiyuk is PEAKING RIGHT NOW. STAY FAITHFUL & STAY FOCUSED.

Watch out for the FIRST LEGIT 5 WIDE SPREAD OFFENSE UP TEMPO NO HUDDLE OFFENSE in Shanahan/Lynch era with Aiyuk, Deebo, Pearsall, Kittle & Jennings as Purdy simply finds the open guy. A new wrinkle offense to complement the road grader run offense with MaCaffrey & Kyle Juszczyk as the 5 wide spread saves these guys legs for the SuperBowl run.

He reminds me of another great athletic leaper we had here in the early 2000s by the name of Brandon Lloyd, but much faster (Lloyd ran a 4.62 40), and with much better hands. The athleticism, acrobatics, and willingness to go up and catch it in traffic are what they have in common though to me. Also, his QB at Florida this past season only threw for 2,903 yards.. 965 of those went to Pearsall, so as Dieter said that dude WAS the Gators offense this past season. He also averaged 14.8 yards per reception from a QB that only averaged 8.1 yards per attempt, which is pretty low for college football. Just imagine how well he can do when he's in an offense that will give him WAY more space to work with, and one of the best QBs in the league getting him the rock. This could be a STEAL when we look back on it in a few years

I foresee Pearsall as the third quarterback behind Aiyuk and Samuels and Cowing as Pearsall's backup when he needs a rest. The 49ers passing game just got elevated to elite status, which will make their running game that much more successful as well.

Both Pearsall and Cowing are great route runners with speed and very good hands, which equates out to a much higher completion ratio for Purdy, being the elite anticipation/timing quarterback that he is.

When was the last a white cornerback drafted in the 1st round? Roger Wehrli 1969. I thought there was a good chance that Cooper DeJean would go in the 1st. Then I realized that if a GM drafts a white cornerback in the first, and it didn't work out, he would be fired and never hire as a GM ever again. 😅

@creolerican That's my point. It used to be that GM's were afraid to draft African-American QB's. Thankfully those days are over. But, now GM's are afraid to draft Caucasian CB's in the first round. If Cooper DeJean becomes an All-Pro, that may change. If he turns out to be a bust, then it won't.

Pearsall reminds me of BA. He runs better routes than BA did in college. Has great hands. Totally agree he will be deadly in Kyle's offense, including having a great QB who can get the ball to him accurately. And yes, the Florida QB was bad. Film don't lie.

When Deebo is on, there's no one better. But I have seen him flat out quit on routes, refuse to block, and take himself out of crucial games more than once over minor injuries. That frustrates the hell out of me.

I like Jennings but he's too slow to threaten the defense, i want to see less of him. I need Danny Gray to ball out because he's on his way out.

kyle likes to draft the best available player, in the moment? purdy had ZERO time to throw the ball in the super bowl? the o-line is still not fixed? kyle, kyle, kyle? debo is good when you get the ball into his hands, not so much as a receiver? kyle used debo like a receiver in the super bowl instead of using the strength of debo running with the ball in his hands? (debo was complaining during contract negotiations about wanting to be USED more as a receiver than a running back) kyle does not pay attention to his players talents and strengths and therefore is unable to take advantage of such? kyle is unable to make game time adjustments, 1> he doesn't even see the field to be able to make such adjustments 2. he brags about sticking to his gameplan thereby basically stating he makes zero adjustments. kyle runs the team as a dictatorship, that being said,.. there is little to no hope for any of these things to change based on the current circumstances. during the super bowl kyle found a way to lose? kyle by not deferring the ball in over time, literally took the ball out of purdy's hands and placed it squarely into maholmes hands... think about it? the 49ers basically have NO Head Coach? they basically have a glorified Offensive Coordinator pretending to be Head Coach? as Head Coach, kyle should hire a Head Coach, for the good of the team? he could call the position "Assistant Head Coach" if he wants to? duties would include all the duties which kyle is not good at:?: 1) challenging plays / throwing the red flag 2) Knowing the ot rules and other rules 3) basically doing head coach stuff in real time during the game while kyle PLAYS Offensive Coordinator.?

The devaluing of Deebo is pathetic. Ayiuk had 7 TDs in 2023. Deebo had 7 receiving TDs and 5 rushing TDs. He is the an important leader who will the 49ers to beat the Eagles. He's a huge supporter of Brock Purdy who protects him from Lynch.

Purdy is going to need all the help he can get....because if he has to make more than 30+ pass attempts in a game, his won/loss record last year alone, was HORRIBLE (3 & 4) compared to games in which he had FEWER than 30 pass attempts (10 & 1)!!!

Sorry to say that Pearsal will not make a difference cause Kyle is still there. Kyle is the head coach and offensive coach at the same time. Kyle is the reason why the Niners cannot win a SB.
