Hey, I know you need to keep the lights on at home, but as an artist I have to give this sponsor a real yikes. This one is gross. Blue-chip trading is gross. The entire thing is really, really gross. Your videos are otherwise sterling, thanks for uploading such quality content. I wouldn't reply if it weren't kind of personal here.

Pretty much all mayor manufacturers gave up on top speed records after the Mclaren F1 because it's still the fastest N/A production car and VAG bought the brand from Romano Artioli who tried to revive the Bugatti with the EB110

Amazing vehicle. Full respect for the performance and attempt to make it a car that could actually be driven. Personally, not a fan of the looks though. To me, it just looks like a bland "bubble" car. The Lamborghini Miura though. Now THAT is a beautiful car.
@AmosDohms6 ай бұрын
The Veyron is a very cool bubble car, very distinct from a boring bubble car IMO.

You're comparing apples to oranges. The Veyron can do circles around the Lamborghini. A poser can still rent a Lamborghini and drive it down the beach pretending to be a baller. You cant fake a Bugatti
@craigpaul6236 ай бұрын
@@giggiddy It is most definitely an apples to oranges comparison, and I have never claimed it wasn't. The Veyron is 40 years newer and built with an entirely different goal in mind. It is like comparing an F-22 Raptor to a P-51 Mustang. The P-51 may be beautiful, and one of the best of its time, but it is still 40 years older. At the same time, remember that looks are subjective. The Veyron looks bland and boring, to me, while the Miura is interesting to look at. Again, to me. That isn't meant to disparage all the Veyron is. Sometimes ugly cars outperform beautiful cars (just look at Subaru). That is ok. Doesn't mean they aren't ugly though.
@giggiddy6 ай бұрын
@@craigpaul623 Gotcha. Couldn't agree more. And by the way, I also think the Lamborghini is more attractive than the Veyron as well. But I have to think the Veyron looks like it does to house the equipment to enable it to perform as it does. Either way, I won't be buying either one anytime soon. Lol cheers sir!

My hot take is the car is interesting as a piece of design art and engineering, but it's beyond ugly and practically useless. Just sheer power for the sake of power, more cylinders for the sake of more cylinders, just more more more, and for that, I think it's an awful car
@AmosDohms6 ай бұрын
It's not a useful vehicle in really any way, but if I was a many many millionare, I'd have to have one, probably over a Chiron. Though I'd take an F1 or T50 over either Bugatti lol.

@@AmosDohms that's what I mean. A better way to put it is gaudy and crass. If I had the money to spend, I'd rather have a Pagani. Any Pagani. Or even just a Maybach. Even a Ferrari, and I hate Ferrari. But I hate them less than Bugatti. Bugatti seems intent to be the "500 dollar gold leaf covered steak" of cars. They are the Dubai of cars. All flash and no substance
@AmosDohms6 ай бұрын
@@laurenmartinez55 1000+ horsepower and 250mph+ top speed is plenty of substance IMO, not to mention the engine. I guess we just have different opinions on what's gaudy, as you perfectly described how I feel about Pagani or any of these EV hypercars, with the exception of Rimac.
@laurenmartinez556 ай бұрын
@@AmosDohms I don't consider raw horsepower and top speed or drag times of any consideration. Any ham fisted idiot can cram 1000 horsepower into a 2JZ, put drag slicks on and do good times. But the Zonda R is as fast if not a little faster than GT300 race cars around a race track. That is what I consider real substance. Maybe without the all wheel drive and turbochargers and interior could a Veyron keep up but we'll never know because Bugatti never made a car like that
@AmosDohms6 ай бұрын
@@laurenmartinez55That's true, but as a complete package, the Veyron is unbeatable, or at least it was two decades ago. Pagani does make very impressive vehicles, I just prefer Koenigsegg's design.

Thanks for the video! In Italian, "gio" is pronounced like the name "Joe", NOT like the word "geo". Similarly, "gia" is pronounced "ja" (similar to the last syllable of "Georgia") and not "jee-uh". The role of the "i" is entirely to tell you "pronounce this 'g' like a 'j'" -- the "i" itself is not otherwise pronounced.

I was amazed by its top speed until I learned that it takes you 12 minutes to run out of gas at that speed, most of the horsepower is wasted on wind drag at those speeds. A 500hp car can reach 325km/h but you need 1200hp to reach 425km/h, it’s so not efficient
