So this is how I was thinking to do the bed, except for the part of lifting it and seeing all of that choice work on the chassis. Nice work sir.

Not the first time I've seen the plywood trick but BY FAR the most well executed. Your ingenuity and skills are on a whole new level. How in the world have I not seen you before? And an even bigger mystery is how do you only have 203 subscribers? Make that 204 by the way. I've only seen a few of your videos so far but already I'm dumbfounded as to why your subs aren't in the hundreds of thousands, if not millions - seriously. I feel like I just got in on the ground floor of a soon to be epic viral sensation or something. Looks like I'll be bingeing the rest of your videos today until I'm caught up.

Very Good Idea using the plywood. You are correct that the steel frame with the wood is a challenge, as I have done them this way in the past. How are you strips to the plywood on the edges for the overlap? I don't see any hardware. You might of mentioned that in the video but I missed it.

Great video beautiful work, was wondering if you have a video of you making the frame so someone like me that would like to build one would have an idea of where to start?

Hey I notice you have a CB chassis very nice truck ! Great job . Is it a full chassis or a half back kit ? Did it work for you any thoughts on the product
@vannattafabrication19156 ай бұрын
Thank you. It's just a back half and it worked great. I have switched to Porterbuilt since then, and I stock their front dropmember, rear dropmember, and back halves. I usually have a couple ready to ship for 63-87 C10,s. I have the Porterbuilt parts in my blue 67 C10 that you can see on my website vannattafabrication.com

@@vannattafabrication1915 that’s awesome . I purchased the full 47-54 chassis and it’s been decent so far just communication from them has been terrible . They made a mistake on my rear end and sent one 4” too wide and will not reply to rectify the issue . Other than that it’s been ok . I know porterbuilt doesn’t do a 47-53 . Next time I may go with TCI

@@spesh1300 That's odd. The main reason that I became a dealer for Porterbuilt is because of their customer service.

thanks for responding very helpful, I am going to attempt it on my 56 GMC A list of what I am gonna need would sure be helpful; 3/4" oak plywood, LMC strips, LS fab hinges. anything else you can offer would really be helpful. Amounts of each item for instance. BTW your website is pretty AWESOME.

I used LS Fabrication hinges, and they are available at my website vannattafabrication.com. The chrome strips are from LMC. The wood is from Lowes.

Hi Jason, very nice. I need to do my bed soon. I have a question about how the panels on each side of lift panel are attached. How do you support them, with a frame to the chassis?
@vannattafabrication1915 Жыл бұрын
I used panel bond to attach the metal strips to the wood.

@@vannattafabrication1915 I think he was talking about the wood/strips that don't lift that the mini tub fenders are attached too. How are those attached? Bolted to the side bed and a bracket down to the frame?
