At the end of each day I put my brush in the brush cleaner, let my brush dry, then I put my brush in a little bit of monomer shape it and let it dry. It seems to help with my brush spreading apart, it like conditions it.

What brush cleaner do you have and where do you get it from?
@caseymichelle96084 жыл бұрын
Erica Solorio I get it from my local nail supply, it’s in a glass bottle. Pretty much all brush cleaners are the same

I looked for brush cleaners online and the first place I found, the reviews were not good! They said the cleaner was acetone and destroyed the brushes, Can you please tell me the brand you use? Way much thanks!
@AaronW-ww4ds2 жыл бұрын
@@jyvonnep occasionally a brush can be done with acetone if you have dried acrylic in it but not for a constant use thing because acrylic brushes are sable hair especially if you're working as a nail tech majority of nail techs just clean it in monomer as they're constantly wiping excess acrylic off when doing them and if they've got dry acrylic that's set in the brush they'll swirl it in some acetone to eat at it then remove it then use monomer a couple times to remove the acetone but if its a constant thing it'll destroy the brush which over time the brush ends up being destroyed anyway due to chemicals and then will need replacing when it sheds or doesn't keep its shape I use naio nails brush cleaner or I use nail Republic brush cleaner but cheapest brush cleaner you can actually make yourself as all they are is isopropyl alcohol and water which you need more alcohol than water

I’ve been doing mine since December and it’s truly a pain in the but. But you get better just if you use poly gel, make sure it’s the soak off stuff. I recently bought the file off makaart from amazon and it’s making my life hell, but I needed these specific colors and bought another kit instead of individual colors because it seemed like a better value, now I wish I had just bought the two colors I needed and a new file and 70% alcohol while we had the chance. Lol good luck 🍀 👍🏼 all!

They can’t in Jacksonville FL either. I had my nails done once in 11 years for my Dads wedding -thick, flat with dents … Then I focused on my jewelry making until the nail bug hit me with my 8 year old granddaughter-after she asked me to paint special Halloween Characters etc … After the farm, Air Force, and One to only care if they were clean to All Nails All The time - I’m even enrolled in a class at 52 after semi-retiring from my therapy practice. Best of both worlds…

I totally agree abt the thickness & the apex. I’ve had soo many times where I had a beautiful long set but there was not enough of an apex so they broke within a wk and I paid close to $100, which doesn’t feel good when you’ve only had them for a wk. Honestly felt like they should have lasted almost a month for that price 🤦🏽♀️

One thing I have trouble with is getting the bead to have that perfect consistency that is moveable. Every time I try, I either do it too dry or too runny. Natali, I’m new to “Nails” at 52 but went from who cares to “Everything Nails Everywhere” so I’m probably asking a stupid question. With acrylics, dips and poly-gels- Could you create most of the apex -sculpting it first, then allowing to dry, cure etc… then finish the nail after laying the acrylic over your preformed apex? Thanks.. hope you can follow because I couldn’t figure out an easier way 😂
