How can I change my humidity on the Resmed Airsense 11 CPAP machine?
Mark Petersen of Live Well CPAP in Boise, Idaho, explains how to avoid condensation (or rain out) in your tubing by adjusting the humidity controls.
You can change your humidity by going to the My Options menu and choosing Climate Control.
Choosing Auto will keep condensation out of your tubing. The Auto setting senses the room temperature and shoots for about 85% relative humidity. If you have auto on your tube, it’s about 81 degrees. If you have a lot of condensation on your tube, or rain out, the best thing to do is set it to auto.
If you are getting dry, manual gives you more flexibility in your humidity. The warmer the tube temperature the more humidity you have. Manual setting gives you two options to change. The hotter the heating plate gets, the more humidity you get. It can be tricky to dial in. You can see on your humidity level, it’s a 1 to 8.
