Toms Mcdonald's experience is something called 'paying it forward' a lot of people do it. Basically you do something for someone else in hopes of the recipient doing the same by 'paying it forward' it's just a nice little something to brighten someone else' day and spread positivity :)

For Tom's coffee... in the US, we call that paying it forward. It's just a random act of kindness and typically drivers keep it going forward and paying for the drivers behind them.

I was waiting in line for my coffee at a local coffee drive through, and someone in front of me paid for my drink. They have a punch card where you buy ten and get one free. Now if I fill a card up, I typically gift the car behind me a free coffee. It made my day when it happened to me, so I hope to make someone else' day. I hope you get to feeling better, Amy!

The Fess Nasal Irrigation Kit from the pharmacy is good if you are looking for something other than using your sterile syringes. Ear, nose and throat are all connected so when you get an infection in one spot, it can also be present in the other adjoined parts. I hate ear, nose and throat stuff! Sinus infections are awful! Feel better soon Amy!

For flushing you nose/sinus, I was told by my doctors to use warm sterile water and to do both sides. I had two surgeries on my tear ducts and I had to do it after both of them to flush out the blood

It was a random act of kindness. It has happened to my daughter several times. She just pays it forward. I love when that happens!!

Hey hon! We call those nasal washes here and they really do help. Every drug store here caries nasal irrigation kits. They have special saline packs to mix with water so it doesn’t burn. They also come with a special squirt bottle so you don’t have to stop and switch syringes. You can also use a Neti pot. You need to irrigate both nostrils separately and let it drain out of the other nostril or your mouth. It’s best done 2-3 times daily. You are doing great with everything and getting right in to the doctor as soon as you feel sick is very important. I was really glad it was just a sinus infection and not in your blood or line. Unfortunately, we can get line or blood infections despite even the most impeccable care. When that happens, we often are “fine” minute and on deaths door a few hours later. Often times, we’ve been getting “sick” weeks before this happens and don’t realize the early warning signs. The white blood cells in our blood do a great job killing bacteria in the blood, so what happens is that some of the bacteria that our white cells try to kill survive. They then slowly but surely reproduce until they build up enough bacteria to make us very sick. The early symptoms are very similar to things we deal with every day like utter exhaustion. You may feel like something is amiss but you’re not able to pin point the issue. You may run a low grade temp at night that comes and goes. Your whole body will be achy and hurt like when you have the flu. The biggest red flag symptom we get right before becoming very ill is a mild headache, severe nonstop shivering, and we get so cold that we have a purplish tone and can’t warm up. Shortly after that, full sepsis sets in and we find ourselves in a fight for our lives. You need to get to the ER right away. Er docs are trained to identify and treat the most common illnesses and sepsis is low on that list of things doctors commonly seen. They will assume you have a virus. You need to insist they do blood cultures immediately and don’t go until they do. If you are septic, the sooner they identify the bacteria the better your outcome will be. Keep up the awesome job you are doing!

After my turbinate reduction and sinus surgery I had to do nasal rinses several times a day for a good few months. The things that came out... GROSS! I still have to rinse from time to time. You can buy specific bottles and sachets of rinse to mix with pre boiled water. It was such a relief when blood clots and scar tissue were involved!

Idk if it's only in the states, but after my sinus surgery, I've been using a mist form of nasal sterial solution along with my nasal spray that I use for my extreme allergies. The mist doesn't require anything from a doctor, just go to any store that carries general medical supplies. My team is currently working on my diagnosis, and I'm not sure how you'll react to it. However, I hope you get better soon! Good luck, with love from Vegas!

it's a very American thing to do. It's a "paying it forward" type deal and often people will pay for the next person's food in line at a restaurant/take away etc. I think it was a lovely kindness by a random stranger and you guys shd do the same and pay it fwd too!
@christinehevel72295 жыл бұрын
Do each side of your nose. Thats what I have done in the past. It helps as long as you are not swollen shut. If you are then it is just super painful cause it backs up.
@XSemperIdem55 жыл бұрын
As others already mentioned, it was likely one of those "pay it forward" things so to try to keep it going, he would have paid for the car behind him and so on. I've never come across it in person though. But I have to manage my money so carefully that I'd probably just opt to pay for my own stuff and get skipped over in the "line".

Amy my love.. The guy was "Paying it forward". I haven't read any of your comments yet.. Maybe someone has already explained it. But, it's common out here in the States. Lol there is even a movie called 'Pay it forward'. Basically, in response to a person's kindness to oneself.. Is by being kind to someone else.👼 *The phrase is used as the opposite of payback: when someone does a good dead for you, instead of paying them back, pay it forward by doing a good deed for someone else.*😇 Lastly, all the good deeds are done inconspicuously.😘 I just love your volgs Amy! I will be sending you a little present here in the near future! You have touched my life.. And many others! You just don't know.. I'm so glad when you post. It's a joy to have you apart of my life.. And for you to share yours with me and others! Hope to get package sent, sooner than later! 💌🎁💝🇺🇸🇬🇧

This is my fourth comment good lord I’m sorry Please don’t feel embarrassed about the maccas incident I work at one in south Australia and I’m not kidding in any four hour shift we serve 100-300+ people... the only ones we remember are people that scream at us, give us death threats or actually are genuinely lovely to us. We will forget after ten minutes if someone has dropped a card in drive thru. There are SO MANY people that stop their car. Get out and go into their boot to get their wallet... we forget the person that does that and they take AGES You are safe girl. Trust me they won’t have remembered what happened 🙌🏻🙌🏻
