after run CHKDSK, I have the message pop out "CHKDSK is not available for RAW drives". How to solve

You need to go to "Create and format hard disk partitions", just search it in Windows. Once opend there should be more then one Disk but there should be one that is Removable and Unallocated. Right click and select "New Simple Volume..." a new window should appear "New Simple Volume Wizard". Click Next -> Next -> Next -> give a meaningfull Volume label, Click Next -> Finish I hope that helped.

After entering the command i get this message 'The volume does not contain a recognised file system. Prese make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted.' Any advice on what to do next would be hugely appreciated. Context; the hardrive worked no problem on this laptop before
