Love that you guys are keeping it real. Most people don't want to talk about their rough times, but sometimes that's the best way to see the hope that's there with us in the middle of our chaos.

Forgiving yourself is a worldly teaching. It is not a thing Christians do because we know that any transgressions we commit against ourselves or others, are always sins against God. We didn't sin against ourselves, we sinned against God - but thankfully He is rich in mercy, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance. Such tragedy, though it can lead us into dark places, often humbles us - and brings us closer to God in ways we never thought possible.

Our daughter passed away 5 months ago, it is so difficult. We are full time missionaries in Mexico and were called back to Canada to have a memorial service for our daughter. We are back on the mission field now, but need prayer for the joy of serving to come back. If you have the time to contact me and chat and pray, that would be an encouragement. Thank you.

Love this conversation so much! I am a Christ- focused counselor and for 22 years have been helping people find the healing Jesus won for them. It is hard work and it takes time. That concept of shame you both mentioned... I always say that it’s important to know and recognize the difference between conviction and condemnation. One is the work of Holy Spirit. The other comes from the enemy. When we have confessed, we know God is faithful to forgive. Yet, sometimes, we have to choose to forgive ourselves and reclaim the territory, So when the enemy tries to accuse us, again and make us feel guilty and ashamed, again, we can stand up to him and evict him, like the squatter he is. We say, ‘No, God has forgiven me and I have chosen to forgive myself,’ and not let that squatter back on our territory.

It's been a long time since I've seen authenticity. It's been a while since I felt a sense of relatability. Normally, if I like something I watch it again. But this interview... I need to sit for a minute. Hits in my chest and gut. Thank you for posting this.

Hey WAY-FM I'm a huge fan of the podcast and my two questions for Tedashii are what did you do to overcome your addiction and how did you do it? I have an addiction and could really use some advice. BTW I'm a huge fan of your Tedashii!!! God bless!!!

Thanks for the question, Chris! We already recorded this interview, but Tedashii answered both of those questions during the conversation.

There is no easy way really.., but you battle it with the powerful knowledge that CHRIST took your place on the CROSS, that our sins are forgiven and that HIS righteousness has become ours..., So really GOD's got your back in a predestined, OVERWHELMING, OVERPOWERING manner.., this usually helps with the guilt, the pain, the suffering and the mess that happens.., but if you have been truly saved, GOD will begin to show you in small small ways how you can live without being dependent on anything that has taken HIS place... The Anointing of the HOLY SPIRIT, or understanding how to increase the power of being filled by the HOLY SPIRIT is a powerful tool in battling it.., Fasting helps...,DEVOURING THE SCRIPTURES FOR HOURS help...Understanding your GOD given authority helps... All night prayers and intercessions help.., Fellowshipping with the saints, confession to others and ministry work helps.. We need to enjoy the POWER OF HOLINESS and must give ourselves to constructing a life where we live as HOLY, PURE, CONSECRATED PEOPLE in a world that stimulates all forms of unhealthy lusts....in my own experience, we use certain things to either avoid reality, to escape it or in order to cope with it.., the Christian walk is one where GOD strips you of all of your self created, deeply rooted idols.., day by day.., but you learn to throw yourself on to CHRIST AND HIS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE , in my eyes this is the only way you can cope and wrestle with it..., you wrestle with the SCRIPTURES, seek GOD's presence, live for HIS glory, follow the promptings of the HOLY SPIRIT, deny your SELF and shoulder a CROSS.., believe me it gets better.., I've battled a porn addiction for more than 15 years.., and I have been walking in deliverance for the past 2 by HIS GRACE, WORK and by the POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ...Hope this helps

Great interview. God Bless you & your family Tedashii. I'm so glad you & your wife made it through that event in your life that no parent should have to go through. Me & my husband I lost one, in 2005! Shame Such a hard thing! So many don't make it, for all the reasons you stated,n can't cope with the horrific new normal. We did but boy did we go through it & I feel you! You have such a gift in your artistry to reach the lost broken, addicted. I'm so glad you chose life n not to give up. Your music has given me a positive outlet in hip hop for the past 15 years. When I discovered you,LACRAE, Trip Lee, Sho, ( but especially you!!!!)I put down the worldly garbage music that I would justify listening to BC it didn't have this word in it or that word, Oh' It wasn't calling women b's n h's. I discovered your music n finally something I could really listen to on a daily basis that actually fed my spirit. It really changed my life! Mine & so many others around me. I could not help but share what I had discovered. Just Real Life Music, Real struggles real freedom. Real souled out for Jesus Music! I'm so sorry for what you went through, Your pour everything into your lyrics, and We feel It. What A Loss It Would Have Been Had you let Satan Win. So many young people, n just ppl in general have been led to Christ, and not just led to Christ but have positive artists to listen to n can stop listening to the music of Satan ! Now you all finally have a female on the label too. I could not be happier!! Now more young women have an artist like them n I am overjoyed! BC for so long not. Love ya Tdot, I will continuously pray for you and your lovely wife and please Never Give up! You have something to say the world needs to hear!🙏💯

Tedashii actually talked a lot about therapy and counseling in our conversation (it was cut from the video for time but will be in the podcast). Finding a great, Godly therapist can be life changing.
