One thing they can do is stop favoring veteran players because of their contracts or previous achievements. Gleyber should not be hitting 5th and LeMahieu is not an everyday player at this point in his career. Oswaldo Cabrera should be the starting 3rd baseman, he had a good first month when he was actually getting to play every day.

As for gleyber 5th they were doing that lately because he was heating up and they didn’t have a better option. He and Grisham were heating up and neither are a scary 5th hitter

Yanks need pitching, but honestly a massive problem is our lineup not doing any damage when we need it most. Yankees have been shutout multiple times, and that’s unacceptable. If we let up 3 runs, we shouldn’t lose 3-0. Yanks are designed to score runs prolifically and consistently.

I have NO CLUE where that came from!! Thought everyone was on the same page that Clay is NOT the answer and would crumble under even more pressure if hes already been blowing this many saves and letting this much contact take place. Yes yes the defense could be better behind him of course. But you take away that contact-heavy pitching (which is fine for innings 7 and 8)....don't even need to worry about the defense!
