Kiwis here who first started watching your videos when you were in Bali years ago. Now we are watching this video from our Canggu guest house literally around the corner from where you are staying. Good to see all the restaurants etc. Keep up the videos! Bali has changed so much. I just heard you mention about Gili. Be careful. The waves on the boat out there are crazy! A boat just sunk the other week and our boat back was cancelled last week so we had to fly back to Bali.

We heard about that boat, that was crazy huh! We went on a BIG boat to avoid that and it was mostly fine, except for the chaotic lines and taxi drivers haha. Hope you guys are loving it!

I love the food at Warung Bu Mi. They have a wide selection of dishes. Right across from the warung, there's a really great spot for sate babi (pork satay). Highly recommend!

oh man! we are headed back in May! Been like 4 years since we've been there, and we weren't filming our travels then. SO looking forward to it! Canggu wasn't really anywhere we hung out when we've been before - we always stay at a place near Potato Head in Seminyak, and then sometimes we will spend a bit of the trips staying somewhere else, like Ubud or Nusa Dua. So that area is definitely on the cards this coming trip! I think Matt LeBlanc has sold it to me, and I just want to move there too haha. We got engaged in Bali too! I proposed to Bettie down at Double Six Beach after setting off some lanterns into the sky!

This is great and very timely. We are going to Bali mid march for 1 week for our sons wedding so looking for ‘to do’ tips and also any caution suggestions. Definitely Canggu but you do need a scooter, bicycle or just be ok with taking a few taxis/grabs (tho that’s the case for most of Bali). Our next video is on Seminyak and it’s really gone downhill in our view. The beach is better but not much else sadly!

Did you take out cash on Gili air or beforehand or use card? We only on mainland three days so trying to work out if we need to take out a board of cash before hand or just as we go??

It's still epic. Less people, more cafes, more beach clubs - so it depends what you're looking for. We prefer less people and 'less vibe' so it's not so crowded, but those looking to party maaaaybe find it's not as active as it once was

What are the nicest resorts in Canggu. We usually stay at the Padma in Legian which is beautiful but I want t to spend time in Canggu and not Legian area only the resort.

We're not sure sorry, Sam! There's not too many really high end resorts in Canggu as far as we're aware, they're mostly villas with staff and a more private feel

Having just returned from my 7th trip over 30 years to Bali. I now won’t be returning. The tranquil beaches, waterfalls, rice terraces etc that I loved about Bali no longer exist. Kuta, Legian, Seminyak beaches are a putrid disgrace. Canggu heading that way too. Techno blasting beach clubs do not belong at waterfall & rice terrace’s, just for a quick IG shot!

You know in a lot of ways we kind of agree with you, John - but there's just no where else with the same scene in Bali. We go to Canggu knowing exactly what we're getting (the negatives you mentioned) and decide to just focus on the things we love
