In India, discrimination began about 1500 B.C.E, grew and continues with a LIE that one of 3 Big Gods instituted it as a system forever and even HE cannot change it, therefore should not be abolished. Dalits do not belong to Hindu religion. Then why Dalits still follow Hindu practices and Hindu Gods. If we want to be free from casteism, we must have the sense to understand ourselves that we are not Hindus. Therefore, they should always understand that they are not people who should join other religions. Actually Dalits need to become rationalists.

Yes, What you said is correct sometimes I hear words like 'Are you a Hindu'. When I was a kid I didn't understand about what is their feeling about caste and hindu. Later I understand that Dalits are not Hindus and people who are Dalits, rich upper caste people never consider Dalits as Hindus. Dalit women never wear mangalastura and hindu's never consider Dalits as Hindus. I felt really bad about this Hindus upper caste people.
