This info really isn't well advertised well on any of the UK cellular providers that support Apple watch. Took me loads of googling to get anywhere, glad to to see I wasn't the only one! 😅Thanks for sharing!

Deffo not the only one. I was confused. I have cellular and have for a while now, ermmm never had to use it, glad it’s there though just in case.

Awesome video thanks 🙏🏽

I followed this way and found it to work well. Only difference is that the white celluar "button" on the watch never turned green, even though the esim and celluar service actually worked. Just if anybody else are waiting for the green light 🙂

Thanks for the video , I wasn’t sure how it worked , I need cellular so I can leave my phone behind when I’m out running or cycling

Do you have a cellular plan for your watch then. I’ve had one for a few months and barely ever needed it. 🤦♂️

@@CSSC0der I’ve got a garmin at the moment but thinking about the Apple Watch so I can make calls without having to take my phone with me when I’m training

@Lordwonga. I haven’t looked back since selling my Epix gen 2. It did way more than I needed it to anyway.

I mean I don’t mind it. Bought another strap and protective cover too. You’ll see a flash of it in my next video.

To be honest, it is very bad if the iPhone is at home and the cell phone does not connect to the watch even though I paid for that
@jajamidusisuki99007 ай бұрын
So its additional "esim" on plan which is same phone number but copieed to watch?
@CSSC0der7 ай бұрын
You are given a different number for the watch but it’s only used for data, basically it is just that, a data sim. But it is synced to your phone so when you are away from the phone people can still call, message etc on your (phone) phone number. Does that make sense.?

Nope, you DON'T need a second connection. This is an expensive way of doing it. You should use your existing iPhone connection, assuming it ti with the right provider

Why u bought 2 Watch? Which one do u prefer ?

I was already using the Epix Gen 2, then the ultra 2 came out, did some research on real life usage and decided to make the jump. I used to always have Apple Watches and again, the eco system works so well with my Mac and iPhone.

I have the same garmin and have ordered the ultra 2 . What is your comparison in the two .

Good vid and explanation but your answered your own question you don’t need a cellular waste of £7 and drains the battery quicker
@CSSC0der7 ай бұрын
Agree, but what I did like on my run yesterday is no having my phone on my run, music on, but most importantly still able to be contacted in an emergency. Very subjective though, I understand most ppl won’t go for it.
@motoboggle75256 ай бұрын
But surely it will only use up more battery when it’s actually on cellular and out of range of the phone because if not and the phone is in range it will use the phone as normal ?
@133taxi3 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t be without my cellular Apple Watch , it’s nice knowing you haven’t got got to always take your phone with you .

Does Apple ‘Find My’ track the Apple Ultra Watch 2 when it has the eSIM activated? I.e if I go for a run, but leave the iPhone at home, will my wife still be able to track me OR my watch (‘Find People’ vs ‘Find Device’)? I imagine the usual ‘people tracking’ would still be linked to my phone, so that would show as left at home, but It would be good if she could at least track my watch to see where I’m at on my run. Would this work with the eSIM?
@CarlaDamnit5 күн бұрын
It will follow your watch if your watch and phone aren’t in range of each other for the find my. At this point you’ve probably tried it out and your wife already informed you that it’s tracking your watch. So my help is probably null and void at this point lol

Can u listen to satilight radio. Like I like in Kingston n I listen to k rock on my phone. Out loud every were I go. N I wouldn’t mind air pods pro. Tomorrow I’m getting. Or starting the process of getting an ultra 2. But ya. That watch make me have to upgrade my phone in 4 months. To the 15 pro max. When I just went from a 7 to a 14 pro max.🇨🇦

You shouldn't have to get a second subscription for £7. The idea is to use your EXISTING iPhone connection to the right carrier (EE, O2, Vodafone etc.), pair it with your watch and then use that connection even when you are out of range from your iPhone.
