I’ve worked on 2 strokes a lot over the years and this is by far the best video I’ve seen yet. I learned more in 18 minutes about 2 stroke carbs than I have in the 62 years of my life. Thank you so much. I don’t do this for a living but now I wish I had with this knowledge.

Excellent job of describing all the tiny holes and components within that small block of aluminum! Now, that carburetor doesn't look as complicated to me as it was before. Very good explanation for the DIYer.

FANTASTIC!!! An absolutely great presentation and such wonderful visuals as well. Everything I know about two stroke carbs I’ve learned from your videos. Your videos on the workings of two stroke engines have been my educational basics as well. I’m an old duffer that has become interested in repairing chainsaws and I’ve learned it all from you. Thank you!

Fantastic video. I just replaced all diaphragms and cleaned the plugged strainer filter, but I was really wondering about the passage of the fuel in the carb on my grand dad's old Stihl 041AV. And it has basically the same carb layout as you've shown, so many thanks for that.

this is an amazing helpful guide, thank you so much!! do you have a tutorial on how the priming bulb interacts with carburetor? specially how the suction and return path works as it goes through the carb. once I had reversed these lines at the priming bulb and I had a geyser of fuel back into the carb, what made it hard to figure out to a novice like me was that I was able to start and run the chain saw albeit really hard to start. after I shut the chain saw down the fuel will just pour out from the main jet and bleed into the cylinder flooding and fouling the plug, but as the carb had the filter and cover on I could not see it straight away. When I realized what the problem was I had no clue how to fix it, but in the end I figured it out. thank you again.👍👍

another great video. Would love to see one on a carb with a primer bulb, and explain how the fuel flows and what causes the bulb to stay depressed instead of returning, and why sometimes the bulb cant be depressed at all. And how to fix the problem.Thanks.

Thru just keep getting better. Now when people ask me how to tune a carb I just pass the link to your videos. Whats your opinion on using the black or the white gaskets on the rebuild kits. Do you prefere either or and do they actually perform differently ?

Hi. In the past i have submersed them in a little warm water for a few minutes but i cant say this will work in all cases, so if you do this then you will have to assess the situation and be sure all is ok. Thanks. Craig

Excellent vids, only thing that makes me cringe is the term 'suction pressure' I understand what you are trying to say but the concept of 'suction' doesn't exist, in reality it is an area of reduced pressure that the higher surrounding pressure area is trying to fill. 😎
