Yeah, toys are the reason, not inflation, not the wage gap, not home prices or healthcare or the need to be 100% present at work after hours. It's toys guys, she nailed it

2 problems with this, regular Barbie £7.99, movie Barbie £40. Have a guess which one my daughter wants. Plus I'm depressed because I struggled to save money and now I have to spend it all on ground rent to my landlord. This is such a random and wrong report.

No. The reason is because they are broke, wages have not kept up with costs and as such people who are having kids cannot actually afford the kids leading to financial crisis.

Did you watch the video? Its about toy prices staying constant even with inflation, in other words toys becoming cheaper and cheaper over time.

Most toys are complete GARBAGE that just fills landfill. The best toys are wooden things you can build with. The very best gifts are books which stimulate the imagination and just about the only way to combat ignorance and stupidity. The worst gifts are smartphones--once on social media, your kid is doomed.

The basic ones are less than $10. It's called the Fashionista line. Tbh, they are POORLY made compared to my 90s to early 2000s Barbies. The plastic body is flimsy, they have no weight. What's worse is the color reveal Barbies. They are more expensive and their bodies are the worst.

I don't think the point of the video was about someone complaining about how many toys they have. I saw it more of like "fun fact" toys haven't been affected by inflation. More so with the added line of how other type of children services have risen through the years, it explained how because people have to work, can't buy daycare or nanny services, they just throw toys at children because they are cheap. It's still 3 minutes of your life wasted by a random KZbin video, but that can happen with any video.

The “no gifts” invitation is less likely to be “we don’t want the toys” as it may be we understand that for a single mom, and there are a lot more of them now days, they really can’t afford a decent gift. Also to buy anything age appropriate of decent quality is a bank breaker for almost anyone.

Parents can also just not buy so many toys. Not necessary to have a house filled with them, unless you are spoiling the child.
@augustinf
@augustinf 11 ай бұрын
Ok; as a parent that was really really into my toys as a kid: they don’t make them as they used to. Take a hot wheel: the bottom is not metal anymore and they have no moving parts. Barbies: they are cheap plastic, the legs don’t bend. Si on and so on.. it’s a race to make everything cheaper and crapier ; the kids don’t care. Like take a transformer from 39 years ago; they were super evolved. Today they are cheap plastic and have very lazy mechanisms. Legos are lazy, much easier than they used to with over simplified manuals. There are no quality toys anymore. Obviously they are cheaper than they used to…

The issue is not with the high amount of toy but how they are a cheap source of entertainment that parents can give to their children right now when they are tired from life. Similar to how busy parents give tablets to their kids so they can go to sleep or whatever. The result of this is that the parent feels miserable cleaning up the aftermath of their kid(s) during their not so deserving break.

Toys? Little kids and older collectors. Most play with video games. That is even more and more commercialized and with subscriptions and no physical copies, overly profit oriented.

oys use to be stupidly expensive, now they are dirt cheap and poorly made. same goes for televisions, they use to be thousands for a 42" crt, now they are £300 for a flatscreen 2mm bezel 55" smart tv with 240hz refresh rate with a OLED or IPS panel. and cheap toys havent made millenial parents miserable.

The actual content of the video was great, I would have liked to enjoy learning about toy deflation without being distracted by how out of touch the title makes you seem.

Another worthless cope by people trying to mask reality with these silly stories. Toys aren't the reason millennials are miserable. We are at a point where you either become a productive worker bee or you are deemed worthless by society. Both parents have to work to support a child, or even to simply afford a place to live. Some people live in their cars now. Some people don't live anywhere. But the problem's clearly toys, it stresses parents out having so many in the home! At first I thought this video topic was just a segue into the inflation problem, but you only mention this once and immediately go back to toys. Who the hell are you trying to fool?

Without ALLAH, their Rabb most High, the creations are verily miserable. Their faces and hearts are covered in darkness, wickedness, selfishness, lust, tight fistedness, manipulations, gas lighting, hypocrisy, disobedience, and denials. Verily, those who have NO LIGHT have no light at all... The Disbelievers cling to drugs and alcohol, living out their own delusions and cherry picking lifestyles. Walaikum a Salam
