I have seen testimonies of ex transgenders talking about their exposure to a body of loving Christians and how they were able to experience a loving God who transformed them. Barking bible scriptures at them with a hateful spirit isn't going to change them. We have to teach them to come to God as they are, and he will change their desires. I came to God as a big time sinner, and he changed me.

Transgender and homosexuality is a deep developmental issue regarding identity and self worth. Even gay and trans people will tell you themselves that they don’t understand their attractions, desires, and emotions. DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT BEING TRANSGENDER IS A SIN??? When ever I'm asked this question, I always answer it the same way... THE WORD OF GOD SAYS, or THE BIBLE SAYS... We should stop trying to give our "personal opinion" on topics that the Bible has already spoken clearly on... Whatever the word of GOD says is true 100% of the time... If our feelings or opinions differ from the word... we are wrong, 100% of the time. But remember 1st John 1: 9...

I had a conversation once with a pre-OP transgender. One thing this person said was that he didn't feel like a man, but as a woman. I floored him when I asked him what being a man is supposed to feel like. He wasn't able to give me a consistent answer, and the one he gave was largely examples of what he thought were masculine behaviors. I told him of many men I know who don't fit his mold of masculinity that he was trying to define, and yet never doubted their gender. What really surprised him was when I told him of women I know who fit his mold of masculinity better than the men. I ended the talk by saying that our preconceptions about things can easily change, and that we should challenge our preconceptions rather than irreversibly changing our bodies. I don't know if he ever went through with the transition, but I'm sure that I gave him a lot to think about.
@lisacox3750
@lisacox3750 4 жыл бұрын
That is awesome! Thank you for that comment. I honestly believe people who think they are transgender are just confused. They struggle with what they thing is norms for their particular gender. That's where they get confused. I'm not sure how that thinking even started because there have always been men that may not have fit into society's idea of what they think masculinity was but they still were men. There were always women who didn't fit into society's idea of what they think femininity was but they were still women. So...where this new thought process is coming from with this younger generation...I have no idea.

I don't think "God doesn't make mistakes" is a sufficient argument here. What about people born blind or people born with other physical and mental impairments? We know that God Himself is perfect, but we can't deny the fact that some people are genetically predisposed to certain shortfalls. The same applies to the spiritual. The unresolved sins of our fathers rests on us, up to 3 and 4 generations back. We have to be mindful of the much greater spiritual war going on in which the enemy literally strives to kill, steal and destroy our destiny. The seeds of our fathers will spring forth, both good and evil

Consider encouraging to read the Bible, pray, and fast over this. I wouldn't care if I suddenly felt attracted to women instead of men, I am not leaving my husband for my perverse thoughts. I made a vow to my husband. Also, consider encouraging that he might need to be delivered. The Bible shows left and right in the new testament of Believers being delivered from demons. We are in a spiritual war. Jesus and Satan are at a war for souls. Satan is trying to win as many souls to himself just so he can say "f you" to God. Satan and his minions will torment Christians to keep them from doing God's will. And sin is the open door for demons to have legal rights to do their work. We must repent and ask Jesus to keep evil away and out of us. Obedience is the key to freedom. Satan is bondage. Jesus is freedom.

Something like 1% or even less according to some studies. Here is a meta-analysis that backs up my 1% figure. I am not posting a link so this comment doesn't get flagged as spam. The paper is called "Regret after Gender-affirmation Surgery: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Prevalence" in case you want to look it up. Allen said to be knowledgeable. So there is a knowledge bomb for ya. A meta-analysis trumps the words of a single doctor.

Super prevalent, as we’re talking about this with our high school youth group. Looking forward in going through this together. I think of Jabez whose name means "sorrow." Or Saul to Paul, a new name given by God as he saw fit and the only one who can change us. A compassionate summary that builds on this video- Transgender by Vaughan Roberts- worth a read.

Thank you so much for this. My daughter came out to me as transgender over a year ago, and she was literally raised in a great Bible-believing-and-teaching church, so she knows the Word, and she believes her transitioning is GOD's will for her. She's 33 and left home 6 years ago to surround herself with people who affirm her trans beliefs, but they told her that, if she told her Christian mom, I'd hate and shun her. She said she didn't tell me for so long because she was afraid of that, and was shocked when I (over the phone) embraced her in love and re-assurance that I will always love her and be here for her. Unfortunately, she took that as acceptance, and I'm trying to let her know that I am standing on GOD's word, and He will always love her, but this is NOT His will for her. Please keep her in prayer. Thank you, and GOD bless you.

Sometimes I wish people would understand the feeling of being a transgender. They assume and think that i'm confused or struggling with mental health or a demon possessed me all together. At first, I prayed about it..even went to a place where they took out demons but even after that I still felt the same. I still had the feeling of sadness when seeing a cis man shirtless during summer time, their teenage voice, hair. Everything. When i was younger, I would draw on an Addams apple and a mustache with marker (embarrassing ik). I used to look up hair tutorials how to make your hair look short, I would always name myself a boy in video games, choose male avatars, write about myself as a male and overall loved when people called me sir/male/young man. It makes me feel validated and builds my confidence, I've definitely have been way happier since I came out, I don't regret a thing and I'm so happy I don't have a judge mental family (for the most part.). If i were to ever de transition I think I'd feel miserable and stuck, there is no way to explain this all to a cis person, no matter how detailed I put it. After doing everything to make myself like myself as a female, I knew it wouldn't go away. I truly believe some people were born transgender. Not everyone, there are definitely some people who are confused and that just wasn't who God wanted them to be. (People who regretted it, did it because of depression issues, etc) Not because God make a mistake, but because he made them to Glorify him and teach everyone a lesson. Its like the few verses in John chapter 9, it reads "As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. " Jesus's disciples thought the blind man sinned or from a generational curse which caused him to be born blind, but it was simply to Glorify God. Nowhere in the bible does it talk about one changing genders, just Homosexuality, but gender identity and homosexuality and two completely different departments. I think people, even if they don't agree with me should not spread hate because that's not what God teaches.

@Walker Cutting No one was actually born that way. There was a time at a early age when one had to make a conscious decision of being attracted to submissiveness or dominance. I could be wrong but I believe everyone at some time in their lives had to make a choice. The thing is,.. once someone makes the choice of wanting to be the opposite sex, eventually it would become a stronghold. It can also make someone depressed after coming into the knowledge of truth in the word of God, rather if one gotten a sex changed or not. But the good news is, that if you have patience that God will free you from such stronghold, then you are in good standards with God. Nomatter how long you wait for him.

I had dreams that I was a guy and attracted to women. I prayed about it. God showed me it was demonic. Demons (fallen angels) like to mess with us. We cannot see them, but they see us and work for Satan. They can screw with our minds, and plant seeds of confusion. While I dealt with this for some weeks, and after having being firm in my faith, you have dealt with this for your whole life! I can imagine that the little seed the enemy planted in your mind has grown into a massive tree! I am so sorry you were attacked like this! Demons can enter when we accept sins that we know is sin, but have agreed to it anyway. In your and many Christians cases, demons attack the children when the parents have unrepentant sins...generally around lust, fornication, porn, divorce, etc. Please know, that while this is s deep rooted issue, GOD can and WILL uproot it and destroy it!!! As Jesus asked, DO YOU WANT TO BE HEALED? You are healed in Jesus' name. Anything that has affirmed a gender transformation is not God, and instead a demon acting as if they are a god. I say these things bc I experienced such "signs" firsthand. Lastly, know that God truly loves you as you are. But no one is perfect and God understand that. But a loving God doesn't leave us to be imperfect...God loves us so much that He gave His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to us to die for our sins, those real imperfections (not hair or clothes or skin) and rose from the dead, so that we would be made perfect in righteousness and live! THAT is the one and only TRANSFORMATION that the true God is pleased with! :D

It's an unfortunate mental health condition. For what it's worth, I would've never suggested you go to an exorcist. In a lot of ways it's an evolution of homosexuality, which is itself an evolution of sexual depravity. It doesn't mean that you or homosexuals are evil. Follow me here: Once upon a time it was just simple sexual depravity, meaning it was just people who weren't concerned with much else in the world besides what was between their legs and effectively allowed that to be the driving force of their life decisions. It was inevitable that innocent, impressionable children born into a world where that existed would be steered down a path through no fault of their (or your) own and would begin questioning their sexuality. And so we get homosexuals. Most homosexuals don't feel they made a decision to be attracted to the same sex -- and by all rights, they really didn't. And being 'different' weighs on them. As a result of that, and also feeling rejected/judged, some choose to lean into that part of themselves. Instant gratification is addictive. So now we have a world where sexual depravity is a way of life, and so is homosexuality. It's just escalation. And that escalates into people defining themselves specifically by their sexuality, which escalates into people defining themselves by what they feel is their sexuality. You may not feel that they are related, but they all evolved from the same kernel: sexual depravity. And unfortunately we're already seeing more escalation that the trans issue has specifically caused: gender-affirming surgeries for children. You, even as a transgender, likely see that the way most rational people do, what an abomination it is. Do I blame you for that? Of course not. Again, sexual depravity continues to be an ever-escalating cause of concern. It creates victims who don't realize they're victims and distracts them with instant gratification. No one who considers themselves a Christian hates you or homosexuals. We see where these mental health conditions come from and we know that God loves you just the way that you were made. Most importantly, we know that choosing the righteous, Godly path can be a big ask for someone who has grown up with this confusion heavily ingrained in them. We're all sinners and even us Christians are still just works in progress. But most of us in wanting to live a more righteous life only have to give up things that we ourselves chose that bring us down. But for you it's trickier. You didn't choose to have body dysmorphia and to feel uncomfortable in the body you were born in, but because of it you do choose to lean into the depravity of allowing sexuality to define your life. But you can also choose to be born again in Christ -- and with his love and strength you'll find many things are possible that once felt hopeless. Again, we're all works in progress, and we all still succumb to moments of weakness. Seek and you will find. No one, not me, not even God can make you do something that you don't want to do. Just know that Christ is with us when we fall. And he waits there with us with unconditional love and patience until we stand back up again and continue forward. Best wishes in your journey.

I’m so happy I stumbled across this video, I’m a 38 year old trans woman and I must say that the lifestyle has become very overwhelming and I’ve finally come to grips with the fact that being a vid a real woman just isn’t a possibility and after years of trying to pass as such and the pain of the truth being exposed I just want to take a different approach, I want to totally live for God but I often feel I can’t be a true Christian because I’ve done so much to myself physically and I just don’t want to go through the procedure of de transition, it’s a blessing to have the confirmation and knowledge to know that God loves me and my FAITH makes me a true Christian, yes I realize that I’m living in sin but I know God loves me and he knows my heart ❤️ and I’m doing my best to live more like Christ, one day I know that my only sin will be my image and so many others are living in sin as well they just don’t wear it on their sleeve like me, God Bless you for this message!

We are being faced intimately with this issue in our family. Thank you so much for your insight. I totally agree that we should love the person through it all. The other thing I've realized is that the root of the problem (like you said) is confusion based on something Satan has used to disguise as just needing to "make a few changes" but what's actually happening is that it's a direct attack against the image of God, since we were made in His image. Talk about devilish schemes! I'm not sure how to help my person sort this all out but I'm going to pray until my knees hurt and listen, listen, listen more than I talk. May God bless you!

A dear family friend, a second son to me, just lost his 16 yo son to an overdose a few days ago. His child was suffering from gender dysphoria and was in so much pain. His dad was over last night and I had the chance to love on him and let him tell his devastating story. I didn’t preach, I just listened and tried to offer encouragement to his could ofs and should ofs. Honestly, I came here looking for how to minister to him and his family in the days ahead. Our God, in His infinite love and wisdom, has revealed to me how judgmental I’ve been about this issue. I can’t stop crying today. Not only for this father’s loss, but for my lack of compassion and viewing this group of people through the eyes of Jesus. And loving them unconditionally the way God loves us. I came to KZbin looking for information and direction on how God wants me to change my view and approach and this video truly struck a chord in my heart. Thank you for the message and the scripture to back it up.

When you tell someone who is dealing with these issues that you are praying for them and and you are believing that God will change their heart, that in itself is not seen as love to them. That shouldn't stop you from praying for them in that way and trusting God for the change of heart. But when you tell the person that, it will cause a division. They do not believe it is sin. That is the problem. They want what they want. And yes, tell them that is sin. Don't tiptoe around the issue. Would you not tell the man who is actively cheating on his wife while attending church service every week that he is sinning? You should!

As a child I was very confused. I kept asking, "Why does society have no place for me?" I knew WHO I am and WHAT I am. I knew that is a conflict. Confusion is ALWAYS resolved quickly with answers. Society has no answer even now why trans people have no place. Worse, conservatives are working to ensure we never get a place - as if our being a drain on society is preferable to being productive citizens with whom they interact. (And there's the REAL issue: they do not want to know we exist.)

I am transgender and I am pre-op (have not had sexual reassignment surgery). This guy is definitely getting his facts mixed up. Having surgery does not make you any more or less trans. Not all trans individuals want to have surgery. Dysphoria is still quite common after transitioning. He should have someone who is trans on his show. He needs to be educated. I agree with some of his points.

Good on you for posting this. You're right that the trans voice and experience is absent here. There can be no understanding without this. LGBTQI+ have always existed and over centuries brushed aside as Christian culture has prevailed with only a certain way of being human accepted. It seems very contradictory to the person of Jesus and the way he interacted with people. His condemnations were for the self righteous.

This breaks my heart. I really feel bad for the children. I see it as child abuse. When I was 6 years old I wanted to be boy. Not because I felt like a boy, but because I saw men having more power and freedom. They could walk around without a shirt , pick up heavy things and come and go as they pleased. It didn't take long for me to figure out that I was a girl and always would be. Then I forgot about my reason why I wanted to be a boy. Had my parents encouraged me to be who I was not created to be, I'd have been 1 screwed up kid!

Elaine Johnson I watched a short documentary on a woman that did a study on children who wanted to be the opposite gender. One of the children was a boy who’s sister was severely disabled and needed lots of attention from family for aid. Well the young boy wanted to become a girl and was adamant about it. Turns out through the therapy they found out he only desired that because he wanted more of the families attention and his young mind felt that if he was a girl like his sister than he would get it the attention. It was fascinating led me to believe that these children need help before these parents just give in to their children’s ignorance.

So I get when you said you don’t have to accept or agree with their behavior or life style but we do need to continue to love them and pray that God will intervene and allow the blind folds to come off. Nothing is too big for the lord . People are not born this way , the enemy has lied to them and led them to this life style . Hold on to faith and never lose hope that the lord can transform those who are going through this .

I’m an intersex women which means I was born with a sexual anatomy that doesn’t fit the category of “male” or “female”. It was a huge battle of choosing a gender. As a Christian I would ask god an pray “who am I?” “Why such confusion?” then I began to understand. IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT I HAVE BETWEEN MY LEGS. I AM A CHILD OF GOD, AND THATS ALL THAT MATTERS. Us Christians get so worried about gender and the LGBT community, but in my believes God created all of us different for a reason. To love each other no matter what, just as much as he loves US. At the end of the day it’s not our choices in life that gets us to heaven. It’s simply believing in Jesus Christ. John 3:16 ...that whoever BELIEVES in him shall not perish but have external life. Let me sum it up. You’re not going to hell if your part of the LGBT community. As long as you believe you shall not perish, and in my opinion that’s all that matters. We as Christians are sent on this Earth for the purpose to bring people closer to god. Not to judge others and there choices. As long as we pray for the people. Then we let God handle it...not us. If you are a parent and you would like some advice for your child or loved ones who are part of the LGBT community. Simply continue loving and praying for them. Teach your loved ones about God and get them to believe so they will be saved. It is our sinful nature to judge others but we have no right. Only God can. God wants us to love one another no matter what race, sex, gender, etc. WHO CARES 😂😂😂 I have this amazing gift that God has given me. The gift of love 💖. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." I will continue to love others no matter if they’re part of the LGBT COMMUNITY or NOT. I will work for the lord and that’s all that matters. ☺️
