I did my CompTia A+ last year during NYSC. Got a good job with that. Now, i'm working on my CCNA and AWS. I'll write my CCNA around April and the AWS soon after. I'm loving this path especially since most people coming into "tech" always want to jump into web development or data analytics. I've always been more interested in embedded systems, Newtwork engineering and telecommunications.

Firstly congratulations on obtaining your CCNA, I don’t know your highest education level here but moving to Denmark for work without a masters or many years of experience is impossible if you are not already in the EU. Great question! Thanks for asking. Well Danes are ranked 2nd or 3rd in the word as not-native English speakers so just about anyone you meet speaks English to a decent level. However it’s not their default setting, you can almost see the loading bar in their eyes downloading the English.pkg file when you initiate a conversation in English. It is also often the case that people speak Danish to me by default which I am also pleasantly surprised by. I am learning the language to cope with whatever little barrier that’s left.

@johnkatende39 күн бұрын
Because it is a globally recognized certification and with knowledge of networking fundamental you can confidently dive head first into so many fields, be it cloud or security. I would recommend anyone at any level to at least study the material. It would obviously be of more utility if you had a degree alongside, but in the US for example, people get very far in IT without college degrees and just certs. Bro so did you went on scholarship or parents paid for it?
@johnkatende39 күн бұрын
PhD is considered as a full time job here and I was paid a fair salary. But my parents paid for my flight and some of my visa fees yes.
@joejoe24529 күн бұрын
@ you said you studied bachelors and masters was that on scholarship because if we are lucky to get scholarship we have to go back and work in our country for 2-4 years to pay it off
@johnkatende39 күн бұрын
@ No no haha my bachelors and masters were paid straight out of my dad’s pocket, god bless him.
