@@ldorman Volltreffer. SLK nur Sommer, die letzten 6 Jahre nur 10 tsd. Kilometer. Seit 1981 als Alltagsauto nur Japaner. Honda Prelude, der Rost uns getrennt, Civic nach 180.000 km ähnliches Schicksal. Dann Mazda 121, das Ei. Da ist mir einer in die Seite gefahren. Ein Suzuki Wagon r war der nächste. Nach 12 Jahren (16 Jahre alt) sprang er nicht mehr. Keiner hat den Fehler gefunden. Ich mußte schnell was neues finden. Naja, da stand der Panda. Er springt an und läuft seit 4 Jahren ohne Probleme.Ein Suzuki wäre mir lieber gewesen, es gab aber keinen. Im Panda ist die Heizung und Klimaanlage gegen den Suzuki ein Witz. Das Amaturenbrett spiegelt sich so stark das man fast Blind fährt. An all diesen Autos gab es nur Verschleiß und Rost. Verschleiß wurde repariert und bei jedem TüV einen Oelwechsel. Es waren alles Gebrauchtwagen und standen immer draußen. Garage ist nur für mein Spaßauto und Motorrad.

Wow. The algorithm nailed me today. I just bought a 1995 E320 Imperial Red coupe with Mushroom interior. It is identical to this car in the video. I have been cleaning it every night. (it was pretty bad) I got it about as good as i can. The trunk paint on mine is also very dry and oxidized like the car in the video. Buffing alone couldn't bring it back. I thought about trying to wetsand. ✋🏼 Can i ask what product/cutting compound did you use after the wetsand? Amazing work. Amazing video. Great job!

Amazing transformation. Like new again, just curious how long it lasts? When you buff the paint Like this does it stay fresh Like that for a few years depending on how you care for it? Or would it get all swirly again after the first wash? Just asking because I once had several nice cars when I was younger and was constantly waxing and shining every inch but I always found it would only look nice for a little before it's just back to how it was from rain and driving.

It totally depends on how you take care of it and what sort of conditions it spends the most of its time in. If it’s in a garage most its life and only outside when its on the occasional adventure, and you keep it covered, it can last quite a long time. Just like anything, it will need to be washed. Often, we’re applying ceramic coating which helps keep an extra layer of protection and eases the cleaning process to need less rags swirling paint, etc

To be honest the car even before was one of the cleanest W124s around... it was very obvious that car is "low original miles", so transformation doesn't look like much, because it went from excellent to perfect. It was clear that even paint was extremely good and original condition, sure it had few love marks, but it was not faded or anything that would be expected form the age of the car. My guess would be that car has maximum of 20-30k miles on it (probably less... considering how clean it was underneath I would not be surprised it is under 10k) and was always parked in the garage and probably never driven in winter or even rain. Although I noted there was some rust near one of the arches and under the fender flares (mistake installing flares maybe?). Even the dent/scratch on the back is indicative of something that was sitting in the garage and like ladder felt on it, not the type of damage that would be on the car which was driven. Even the tyres are likely the new tyres which were fitted to the car from factory and had not been worn (as indicated by little rubber bit still sticking out)... Michelin clearly hasn't made "Premier M/S" for at least 20 years. So again it just shows that car had extremely low miles on it... even if this is second set of tyres it is hardly breaking 20-30k. My point - it is hard to achieve "massive before and after" when the "beginning" is so good. But the car like this totally deserved the care it received. Edit.... Ohh yeah - I was spot on ... later in the interior detail it can be seen car has 15904 miles!
