Yes Peter. I’ve been following you for years. It’s like watching a train wreck in slow motion. It’s been very painful for me. Your empathy and love shines in all you do. Thank you so much.

*_"No one in this world, so far as I know-and I have searched the records for years, and employed agents to help me-has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby. The mistake that is made always runs the other way. Because the plain people are able to speak and understand, and even, in many cases, to read and write, it is assumed that they have ideas in their heads, and an appetite for more. This assumption is a folly."_* -journalist curmudgeon H. L. Mencken

Can anyone else feel the quickening yet? I saw the terror 3+yrs ago and now I see others experiencing it Exponential growth means once you see it then it’s too late

Atheist Batman, that's just what I say, nobody comprehends this, the fact that we can see the change means we're on the steep slope of the exponential, and the whole concept of tipping points doesn't... REGISTER with people!!!!!! honestly, it's like living amongst zombies

I blame corporate lobbying of our national governments and the for-profit constant-growth capitalism-realist mindset of corporate media and our resulting culture. The failure of climate negotiations is just a byproduct of a system that puts profit before welfare.

Governments are not seperate objective agents in our capitalist system. That's why there is no action unless the near future is dire, like your island country going mostly underwater in 30 or so years.

It is in the trade agreements that governments who legislate( ie. Environmental regulation) in any way that might impede corporate profits will face legal consequences.

COP conference attendees are really good at pledging huge reductions in CO2 emissions to occur at some point decades into the future. Rather, what they should be doing is setting realistic goals to reach in one year's time. Then the next year set another goal that's reachable in a year's time and so on. Demand tangible change now, rather than grandiose promises to achieve huge reductions decades from now. We've wasted three decades where we could have been making incremental and steady reductions in CO2 emissions. Instead nothing has happened -- although they keep telling us we'll be at net zero emissions in 2050! 🙄

It's so not funny, terrifying times to be living through, good God, now we have a president who wants to help people-vs a con man fat pig sex offender who doesn't care anything about people who are injured by weather catastrophes, he tossed rolls of paper towels at Puerto Rico people after their devastating floods
