That was fun. I was a bit surprised at her prices. When you consider you are getting well made garments of quality fabric, I honestly expected her prices to be higher. As a society, we are still in the mindset of cheap fast fashion, but when you realize that quality garments last longer, and if you choose classic styles that you can wear for years it's actually a better value for your money. I wish there were more small custom shops like this. Her aesthetic definitely is classic enough to appeal to all age groups. I hope she is wildly successful. Thank you for sharing this.

When I went to fashion school back in the 90’s this would have been my dream. Unfortunately, rent prices make it almost impossible for starter brands to have brick n mortar stores. This is why so much is done online and on places like Etsy.

I said the same to myself, honestly expected her prices to be higher. She should increase her prices.

I love the idea that you can try things on off the rack and then get things customized.

One of the best videos you've put out in a while. This was great, Alex! I'd love to see more interviews/showcases of local ateliers.

Would appreciate some information on what type of finishing is put on cotton shirts and blouses sold in upscale stores that give the items their gleam or shine. Also would like to know if that substance, whatever it is, is sold to the public. Thanks.

do you mean waxed fabric? or calendared?
@marysampson90672 ай бұрын
not sure what the process is called, cotton shirts and blouses sold at higher end stores seem to have a gleam or a shine to them that goes away after laundering

Boring color clothing.

It is all subjective. What you find boring, someone else finds useful. That's how life works.

@@annterrywilliams2304 actually it's racism that colorful clothing is looked down upon be cause all of non Caucasian cultures use bright colors but Caucasians used drab or neutral colors. So these so-called boutiques use boring drab neutral colors. Definitely not for me. Look at Quince. So snoozy 😴😴😴😴
