I did cold capping, but unfortunately, not all cancer centers have access to the machines needed. I lost a lot even with it (Paxman), but it really helped a lot. I retained about 70 percent overall, but I had places with more than 50 percent loss. It does take a lot more time for each session.

My hospital offers nothing in the way of helping with any kind of cold capping/icing fingers & toes. And it can be tricky to have to drag in all that with you to chemo. I’m about to do round 3 & I’ve lost 90% of my hair already. I’d give anything to have been able to utilize this.

It doesn’t work for everyone

It should be free. It's just ice.

I'm half way through a 12wk course of chemotherapy for stage 3 Her2 positive breast cancer. I find cold capping tolerable, Its definitely not nice but I am managing with it. At this point I'm lucky, no hair loss just now, depends on your pain threshold I guess but definitely worth a try I feel - then you will know for sure. I wish you all the luck in the world, we are strong, you've got this ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ much respect from UK ❤
