I am getting fractionated co2 upper and lower lids next month and my doc is doing the temporal area. We are hoping for some tightness to assist my cheek fillers Do you believe co2 can help tighten skin? I don’t qualify for an upper face lift at this time nor would she do an bleth on me She is very conservative and will not do anything unnecessary. But I don’t like my face laxity and she won’t put in more filler. She said I would look over done I just need a tiny lift which in turn will help the skin under my eyes if that makes sense thoughts?
@AmiyaPrasadMD Жыл бұрын
Hi @pnevlud, Fractional CO2 laser can tighten the skin. However, I would have to physically examine your face and skin in consultation before I can give you a proper second opinion, and recommend procedures for you. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi @pnevlud, It’s important to remember that the laser itself does not cause complications like facial volume loss, nor does it determine successful results, but rather the experience and judgment of the doctor using the laser or other device. The device is just a tool, and it’s the doctor’s judgment using the tool that separates great results from ineffectiveness, or potential complications. Dr Prasad can the co2 laser on the area be used on Indian skin types to improve pigmentation there. Is it safe on that area for skin of color
@AmiyaPrasadMD3 жыл бұрын
Hi Abby Rangiah, It may not be the right treatment for darker skin as it can cause hyperpigmentation. An examination is needed to see if exposure should be reduced with a laser, or a radiofrequency treatment, or even a non-thermal treatment like PRP are more appropriate. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi Doctor, I am 22 years old and have premature wrinkling under my eyes due to sun exposure that makes me look older than I am. Have you treated young patients before and is this a good solution?
@AmiyaPrasadMD2 жыл бұрын
Hi Sneakerhead, At your young age, I would have to examine your situation before recommending specific treatments. Laser treatment may not be appropriate for your age, and possibly skin type if you have darker skin, so a less aggressive treatment may be more appropriate. @@AmiyaPrasadMD I have white skin. Is there any risk of losing fat in my face from doing a laser treatment and thus looking worse? Have you treated young patients before?
@AmiyaPrasadMD Жыл бұрын
Hi@@sneakerhead4124, Losing facial fat with laser treatment is determined by the skill of the doctor performing the treatment, not the device which is just a tool in a skilled doctor's hands. Again, you need to be examined before an appropriate is determined since you are only 22. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi @pnevlud, In your other comment you describe the line as due to filler. If you don't know the exact cause, then I hope you understand that I can't speculate without a physical examination to diagnose what it is. I would have to see you in consultation to diagnose the cause, then recommend treatment if needed. I hope this clarifies things for you.

I understand the confusion. One is a line of old filler running from the bottom of the eye onto the cheek area and the other is on the under eye area that appears on and off when I smile I’m wondering if the old filler which has been dissolved twice now is pushing upwards into the under eye. It’s not always apparent

Hi Diane R-D, I suggest you seek the doctor who is the most experienced with treating these areas, as well as the most experience with their chosen devices. Hi Lindsey Anderson, Although I do know many colleagues in LA, we all have different aesthetic styles and approaches. I suggest you do some research, and find an aesthetic style that suits your desired outcome, and stick with a doctor with a conservative, natural-looking approach for a balance of beauty and functionality of the eyelids and brow. I hope this helps you.

Hi@@vigneshsiva4372, Sorry, I can't say for sure what you have unless I examine it myself. Eye bags caused by fat are present all the time, even when you close your eyes, and there are several possibilities for wrinkles. I hope this helps you.

Can you do upper and lower only, would it not match the rest of the face if done that way?
@AmiyaPrasadMD5 жыл бұрын
Hi Gayle Kemper, Yes, just the eyes can be done, but during consultation I would also examine the rest of the face to see if they can be treated in isolation, or other areas need improvement. It's important to remember that others instinctively look at our whole face, not just particular areas like the eyes. I hope this clarifies things for you.

@AmiyaPrasadMD5 жыл бұрын
Hi Pavani.chinna Chinna, Laser treatment can cause hyperpigmentation in darker skin, and can thin the skin if overused or overexposed. It is the judgment and experience of the doctor that determines results and complications, not the device itself. A physical exam is needed to determine if laser treatment with a less intense setting, and less exposure can help you, or a treatment like radiofrequency or a Q-switch laser should be used instead for darker skin. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi@Kalsifer, Yes, there would likely be complications from lower eyelid surgery for lines or wrinkles at any age, which are caused by lower eyelid skin shortage. Lines at your age are usually genetic, and should not be treated. Under eye wrinkles due to aging are usually not treated with surgery, which you can review in these videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3KrZGqhn8usgZo kzbin.info/www/bejne/iWSYhK2OrcdghtE kzbin.info/www/bejne/homwmYxvZbmFm68

It's been 4-5 weeks since that epiosode with the hydrocortisone ....my procedure was 11/20/2917. Have you seen this bumpy rashy looking issue before? It doesn't itch , not red or painful. Thank you

I wish I could send you a couple pics for you to tell me if I should do laser or not because I’m in a small town and they offer co2 laser (I don’t think it’s fully ablative) but I’d rather have your opinion before I do it
@AmiyaPrasadMD2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tony Gareth, The thing about laser treatment is that it's mostly dependent on the skill, judgment, and experience of the doctor to determine results, and avoid complications. That said, laser treatment is often done by non-physicians who don't have the training to avoid, or deal with potential complications. So I hope you understand that I can't just recommend laser treatment if I have no control over how treatment is done. Also, I would have to examine skin tone, the issues you want treated, and your skin quality, etc. which a picture alone would not provide enough information about. I hope you understand.
@tonygareth2212 жыл бұрын
@@AmiyaPrasadMD Yes I do, which is why I messaged because even though I want to do the laser, it bothers me that they don’t even care to see me beforehand to tell me if I should do it or not, or how they’d do it. I want to go forward and get some improvement, but I’m concerned.

Hi@@tonygareth221, Laser treatment is prone to complications like facial volume loss, and skin damage if not done by experts. I advise caution in choosing a place that recommends laser treatment without an examination. Hi@@tonygareth221, If laser treatment is not done by an experienced practitioner, especially if it's done to get a lifting effect to replace surgery, it can hurt you. People look older after overdone laser treatment due to facial volume loss. You can refer to the videos I sent you previously.
