Hi Jenny Quezada, PRP is primarily for improving skin quality, health, and texture. While it can provide some volume by improving the health of the essential fat layer beneath the skin that makes skin supple, it does not provide a significant amount of volume like a hyaluronic acid filler. I have been doing PRP under my eyes for my dark circles but haven’t seen significant results. The dr said that she will do it one more time (which will be the 4th time) if she doesn’t see any results, she said she will try microneedling. Does microneedling help with darkness under the eyes?

Hi Dynamite Dynamite, Lasers on dark skin do carry the risk of hyperpigmenation, which is why it is important to find a doctor experienced in these treatments to avoid it. Hi Jey Initial, This video is not about acne scars, it's about facial folds. Acne scars can be associated with tissue loss when tissue was removed when the scar was formed, and microneedling, PRP, and lasers can be among the treatment options for acne scars. I hope this clarifies things for you.

Very good explanation, one thing i want to ask you doctor, why some anti-inflammatory medicines, steroids are prohibited for the person before and after prp administration.

Hi malishah32, Anti-inflammatories can be blood thinners, so they can bruising from the injection sites, so they are generally not advised before treatment. Hi Anuradha Singh, Sorry to hear about your problem. I would normally need to perform a physical exam before recommending any treatment. I suggest you find an experienced PRP practitioner, and one also does laser treatment as you may need additional laser treatment as well. However, there are no side effects of the PRP treatment itself, so it is safe as long as it is applied properly. You may need more than one treatment for best results, just like the Q Switch laser.
