Thank you for your review. That being said, I would have liked to have seen the boot's comfort level at a full stride rather than half-steps. Also, I think many shoes-and boots in particular-can only be assessed for comfort after having been worn for several hours and giving your foot time to go through all the normal motions it executes daily. I have bought boots that I felt fit well when I bought them and walked around the store only to find them chafing at the ankle or creating 'hot spots' later. I wear them for many years. The first week or so these shoes are like hell on your feet. Especially the part where the tong of the boot is stitched to the area at the 4th lace hole. The Timberlands are hard and uncomfortable, but after a week of walking they turn into a good warm and strong friend that accompanies you for many years.

Make sure you buy timberlands with insoles. The older ones don't have insoles. Also, they run half to a whole size big so size down.
