Biden would have to sit for more comprehensive cognitive testing to get any results that would prove his deficiencies. My dad could pass the screening test with 27-29 scores at the point he couldn’t figure out how to pay bills. (He would just leave them in a pile on the counter, too confused to figure out how to write a check and put it in with the bill in an envelope. Any task that required multiple steps he couldn’t accomplish. From there, he went slowly downhill until he was unable to care for himself at home even with home health coming in. Biden is at the top of the slide now, but by the end of a year his dementia will be patently obvious.

His physician, who is with him daily, is able to discern if something needs addressed. If the physician thought that something needed additional attention/testing, then he/she would've advised him and ordered those tests. In the interview, Stephanopoulos did remark about what the physician shared which means that the President gave him authorization. Despite what a lot of people think, we aren't entitled to look at his medical records. We don't have that kind of clearance or approval. HIPAA. Even so, the fact that the President shared access to that information with Stephanopoulos was both transparent and a vulnerability that was genuinely intended to alleviate anyone's concerns. If it doesn't, that's unfortunate... but, at least he tried. I think it's important to remember that Vice President Kamala Harris was elected by the people so that, if there becomes a need, she is fully qualified to step into the role. At this time, there's no need of it. I do believe some people are blowing this way out of proportion and it serves as a distraction when there are bigger fish to fry but, if you think the physician is inept, there are venues available to address that. It is customary for presidential candidates to release medical and tax records by their own volition because they aren't entitled to the trust of the public. Trump never released his tax returns, and this was seen as if he had something to hide. If Biden wants to ease people's concerns, he would go far and beyond what a normal candidate would go through. The only reason he doesn't do a neurological test conducted independently and made public is because he knows he would fail it. I hear him talking about democracy being on the ballot, and I cannot but assume he doesn't mean it.
