HOW CRAZY IS THIS? After 3 years of crossing paths we finally met at Sandy Island! This is the story of an incredible journey of two solo sailors almost meeting up several times during the last 3 years. Have you ever wonder how it would look like if you take your time one day to compare your personal timeline with another person for the last 3 years? We took the challenge of comparing logs and photos with time stamps and locations to see how our timeline would look like on top of each others as we suddenly discover some really surprising facts. When digging deeper into this we got even more surprised and its almost like someone been messing with us. We have invested quite a lot of time in putting exact dates and places together with animations and videos to share this incredible journey with you guys. I`m sailing sailing around the world in my Bavaria 55 Cruiser, making videos whenever I have time for it. Most of the time I sail singlehanded but occasionally I do have sailing friends onboard. Still in the Caribbean due to Covid and was supposed to be in Asia by now.
Even though this is season 3 on youtube I have already sailed 4 seasons full time but did not make that many videos in the beginning. Before full-time sailing, I have sailed several seasons in the Med prior to this, and obviously also in Scandinavia. I have been traveling the world before and also been an active regatta sailor. I had my first sailboat at age 7 and been sailing ever since.

I'm just a normal person sharing my travel adventure through my eyes and experience from my perspective! Remember how I do things might work for me but not for you. It might even not be the correct way to do things, and I don't have the blueprint either. I'm not perfect and nobody is. Nice one - thinking statistically I wonder if you tracked proximate AIS signal data for your trip how many others will have stayed on a very similar track given that time of year will drive most cruising plans. probably a lot of other people you should get round to saying hi to :-)

Definitely, Steve has developed a substantial amount of test facts which in many cases are quite surprising to be honest. Like the claw anchors very bad performance, not to mention everyone’s favourite not many years ago - Rocna. Now we have a very different perspective thnx to all the work Steve have done ⚓️
