Thanks for sharing and congrats! The change has been noticed and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about a health issue. Glad to see its a positive one. Having similar goals with motivation issues, this has been very helpful to watch.

Brian, great job on taking health seriously, and doing something about it. Many people talk a good game but never actually take steps to fix issues. What they may not realize is, if they fix themselves, and they can, the human body is a miracle machine, built to be fit; is if they fix it, medical costs are reduced on all fronts. I am a retired disabled Marine Veteran, I would love to have my full health back vice having any disability or compensation. I have had multiple surgeries, have back issues, shot knees, neck issues, vein issues, etc., and I too am on a recovery journey. It takes 💯 decision, dedication, and determination. You are correct it is a combo of eating healthier, and exercise in whatever form one can do. Running used to my go to, swimming is my fav, swimming is best for me and my disabilities, low to no impact, gets the heart and muscles going and burning fat forever. I used to bike, but never found a comfy bike. I agree with you - every time one goes out to exercise they should always push a little more. Great video. Thank you for sharing. All the best to you and your family. ☮️👍

Most people don’t understand…. Cycling is the fountain of youth… And your body goes through a metamorphosis, when riding consistently. I’m 55, and have been riding and/or racing for 45 years. Though I have been asked a few times if I am sick… lol I have ridden as much as 15000 miles a year, and like you, am fairly thin…. And I love beer and food…. I just don’t do it in excess. Keep up the great work… you’re adding years to your life, to spend with family and friends.💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🤙🏻

I, like most people that were kids in the 70’s and 80’s rode bikes probably hundreds of miles a month and I distinctly remember once I was old enough to drive I went from 165 lbs to over 180 in a few months. Glad to see that you’re getting healthy, it’s definitely tougher the older you get.

I am 62 and around 26 My mom gave me a bike that my brother abandoned in the shed when he was still living home. it was Raleigh and I rebuilt the whole bike with Shimano gear as it was untouched and chain wouldn't even roll. Got really addicted to riding. About 8 months later my brother found out and got The ITS MINE SYNDROME. Took it back and never touched it or rode it. Left sour taste so never touched one again. Good for you and your health habit! I could tell from watching all you videos you slimmed up and changed drastically. Keep it up!

Very sad, but I guess it comes with the territory. Congrats on the few big milestones, 50K subscribers and getting healthy. Great for you and your family. Yay to 50,000 viewers! I started watching you when you're talking about starting the biking and I was impressed how quickly you lost that weight. I'm laughing about the guy thinking you're doing drugs, it's good that he bailed on the channel because the trash took itself out. LOL you know he was going to give you a bad time all the time. 😂. Trek bikes are great! An old boyfriend of mine got hardcore into mountain bikes in the mid-to-late 90s and that was the brand that he had. He beats ever loving out of that thing to the point where the bike shop people thought he was absolutely crazy. His was aluminum and he ended up having to get titanium spokes cuz he kept breaking the wheels. The bike itself stood up to everything he put it through a never cracked the frame. Great job keep up the good work!

😂 funny! I’ve been a cyclist for a long time, road, gravel, MTB, you name it, riding almost every day to stay fit and hang out with friends…then we start going to races where we have to camp and I felt in love with the idea. Camping and riding. Then it was mostly camping, hardly any ride. Cooking at camp fancy meals and beer of course. Gain weight. This is great! Thank you for posting this. Hell yeah mannnnnnnn, awesome work. Subbed. When you start strength training I would highly recommend kettlebells. You only need 2-3 different weight kettlebells to do entire full body workouts and nearly every exercise is a compound exercise. They also emphasize core and back strength, which really helps reduce the chance of injury when training. I switched them from traditional barbell and dumbbell exercises and it has been huge for me.
