protože to je z němčiny, pantofel nebo nějak tak to je, což je samozžejmě germánskej jazyk stejně jako angličtina takže ten výraz je možná vic originální než ten náš :D takže nevím, mě to moc nepřekvapilo :D
We meet at coffee places and pubs because lots of people have small condos. Also, if more people meet, usually meeting somewhere in city center is most convenient and shorter trip as opposed to people traveling to the other end of Prague. Like it takes me over hour to get to my friend's place, but if we meet in the center, it's just 30 or 20 minutes journey. ANd we don't have to worry about cleaning up and making food. ANd I think lots of people are private persons and like their place be their own. If you invite guests to a house party it often tends to drag on longer than you intended (my grandma used to do houseparties and she was always stressed about the cooking and then the people sat and talked and talked... and we all were like "how ot politely tell them it has been enough").

Taking your shoes off is a good thing to keep your place cleaner, I adopted this also. I would never give up wine completely for beer. I still have wine with my meats. The beer is really good but not out of this world, they just make so much of it that it is cheaper than drinking soda. As far as meeting outside in Czechia as opposed to inside, now that I am here i would agree with you and I hate to say this but I think culturally people here are not accustomed to treating their friends to dinner at a restaurant. People tend to go more Dutch here at restaurants. My father told me that if I am inviting someone to dinner at a restaurant then I am paying for the bill. Since being here I have yet to be invited to my wife's siblings places for dinner. Even long before covid. I honestly think it has to do with the amount of income people make here that they can't afford to invite people over for dinner.

I have a question about the change of your diet 😊. I am not Czech, but I lived most of my life in Prague. Now I live abroad at the Mediterranean Sea. The diet is so so much lighter and healthier here compared to typically carnivorous and heavy diet of Czechs. So do you feel differently once you switched to Czech diet? Do you notice it on your body, your physical and mental stability? 😊. Good luck!

Tbh I had anemia when living in València. The lack of meat made me very fat and unhealthy. We are all different. The place where I’ve being the best health wise was in US (I used to buy everything in Whole Foods haha) and now I always eat the local bread that’s much more healthy than the white one. But I do miss sea food like nothing else. I grew up eating fish (from the sea) and sea food 1/2 times a week. That change was hard 😁 thanks for watching. PS: Be careful assuming less animal protein is better for you. New studies have shown than women tend to eat less animal protein than they should

hahaha, I can't be more agree on losing fashion sense actually. I lost it completely and to be honest, it's a double-sided dagger, well you don't feel pressure to be trendy and spend too much money on fast fashion but the other way around is: if you want to be trendy for some occasions, then you really struggle to do it. As a Persian girl, back in my home country, I had to dress up always, and now when I am going back to my country, I am who is not dressed up and all of the friends have nicer clothes and wearing makeup. So, a bit downside here.

Maybe it´s only me, but I think we Czechs are like beasts. The house or a flat is like a den for us and only the best friends have the permission to enter this sacred place. That´s the reason we like to meet in public area. And maybe it´s the years of communism that still echoes in our minds, that if you take somebody to your place, he could be jealous of some thing you have and tell it to the secret service, which could give you a lot of problems. I´m not that old, but I remember my parent could have problems with that. Well maybe I´am that old. :D
