I am using D'Addario strings for over 40 years and I keep experimenting sets with my guitars thank to the massive selection of gauges and materials in the D'Addario catalogue. When I listen to the rich story of the Company I feel proud to be Italian. Thanks

Fascinating, but not surprising. I've been playing guitar for 60 years now and have tried umpteen different brands and settled on D'Addario many years ago. When you get to be my age and you find something that works, you stick with it. When people came to the U.S. from the old country they brought with them a work ethic and a passion for quality that is rare today but it shows in D'Addario strings. Thank you for a great product and great story.

When I was 12 I saw a D’Addario poster ad in a Guitar world magazine. I wrote to D’Addario asking for 1 poster. They sent me all the posters they offered at the time and some stickers. With a kindly worded letter. They have a LIFETIME customer in me. D’Addario treated me like a musician, not just some “punk” kid. I’ve also made a ball end necklace for myself, over my 30 years of loyalty. Cheers from Canada 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻 - Doctersound

I used to use strings that I knew that other famous players use but when I discover DAddario, I stopped caring about others. D'Addario is MY string company.

Nice story! I use D'addario in all my guitars and violin, very happy with these strings, nice to know about its history.

I worked for D'Addario for 7 years early in my career (in the 1980's) working directly with Jim and his brother John Jr. I must say it was a musician's dream job. They were most gracious to my family and me in every sense. I learned so much from them both - how to listen to customers, how to think boldly and to not be afraid to make a mistake, how to use technology as a go-to-market differentiator, all of which impacted me throughout my career. I'm still a performing singer/guitarist. I've been using D'Addario guitar strings since I started playing some 50 years ago and continue to use them today along with so many of the other accessory products they now manufacture. They run a great company. It's amazing to see how far they have come. Many thanks for everything you've done and continue to do for me through the great products you make! Looking forward to the next installments of Jim's Corner!

Been using D’Addario strings for over 40 years. And mispronouncing their name for just as long lol. I was adding the first A as an “uh”. This is fantastic to watch, I had no idea of the history, I just have always played them.

Yeah man! All of my electric and acoustic guitars and mandolin sport D'Addario strings. That video was very informative and did not know the association of D'Angelico.

My brother played professionally in the 70's Disco era. He used Ernie Ball "Slinky" strings for his 70's Gibson SG, (everyone did). I started playing acoustic then electric guitar in the so I used the same strings as he did. Fast forward when I started getting more into guitar, designing and building my own Strat style guitar (using Hawaiian Koa-early 2000's). My brother switched to D'Adario's because he openned a new set of strings and noticed the EB strings would be corroded. He switched to D'Adario's. I've been playing them ever since. I pretty much did what Jack-in-the Box did. McDonald's spent a bunch of money on where to locate a store (for the best exposure/prophet). So jack-in the-Box, just located right across the street, lol!

Very nice! Not too far from where my dad was born near San Benedetto d. Tronto. I've met a few of the D'Addario's at my friend's Joe and Laura's. My best to all.

Whenever I have a sick guitar or an instrument that doesn't seem well, I put D'Addario strings on it. It's middle of the road, chicken noodle soup for a guitar that's had a hard life.

I remember Black Diamond strings very well. They were the only brand you could get in those days. You could even get single strings. Today my choice of uncoated strings are D'Addarios.
I’ve been using your strings since the 70’s and no others. Why should I? They sound great on both acoustic and electric.

I’m curious about the Pro Steels that D’Addario make. I’m badly allergic to nickel and need to restring my Les Paul so I think that might be an option.
@daddarioandco6 ай бұрын
We have both Pro Steels and Half Rounds! If you're leaning towards more punchy for heavier rock/punk, etc., Pro Steels would be a great fit. If you would like something a bit warmer, and more mid-range, Half Rounds would be a great fit! The nickel-allergy members of our team use them regularly! We have plenty of gauges in both.

daddario silk and steel are my absolute favorite strings. I always hated phosphor bronze and 80/20s were ok. But then I discovered silk and steel maybe 20 years ago and there are no strings that sound better for me!

I am an artist and I live in Vernon BC Canada. I've been using D’Addario strings for 40 plus years , and I would Absolutely Love to re create an historical Family photo of your choice using nothing but the little round ball ands of the strings that you use to make strings with. I would do it Totally free of charge, and it would be my Honor. Please reach out to me if this is something you'd consider/ Thank you. Have a Wonderful Day.
