Hey everyone, i have question for the running community: Lately i have been getting into running more and more and i a was wondering if you guys have any tips about where to educate myself about training correctly (youtube channels, books etc.). i'm 24 years old and a pretty athletic guy. i have been into sports all my life, mostly football (soccer) but also tennis skiing etc. and i "learned" different sports pretty fast. But i am asking you guys with regards to running as it seems to be quite an injury prone sport, especially if you start off to quickly. I'm kind of getting into it and want to set myself goals and participate in races. Any recommendations for beginners regarding readings or youtube channels would be great. Also what sports watches would you guys recommend for a beginner? shouldnt be too expensive.. Thanks in advace!!!

I'd recommend buying a training book, specifically "Daniels running formula". i've heard other youtubers say that no amount of recovery can undo improper training and i agree. as for a watch, the garmin forerunner 45 has served me super well for about a year now, just look for the refurbished ones. my friends have gotten the more high end garmins for the same price as mine (new) by looking for deals like that

@@jamiekeir8019 An ice bath is literally one of the most extreme shocks to your muscles. If an ice bath is not enough then you have serious problems that you need to see someone. Most people wont have an ice bath because its too severe/ cold and theyd rather spend money on buying massage guns and electrode pads.

@@im_running1686 Most people wont do ice baths cus there too cold. They have to shock the muscles into contraction. Its not because they arent better than mostly anything else.

Hey Charles, what amount of mg of caffeine do you find works best for you? I've been experimenting with caffeine pills for racing and am still trying to find the sweet spot. Thanks!
@colerut7912
@colerut7912 2 жыл бұрын
4C is the best if u don’t like coffee. mixes with water or could be put in gatorade if u match the flavors. 80mg is good if u don’t normally take caffeine, 80-160 if u normally do.
