Here is what A O V --Omitted - The woman was Alice Faye. The picture was “Fallen Angel”. Carver didn’t do anything but gossip- which may not have been the best thing to do! But here’s the skinny: Alice Faye, Dana Andrew’s and Linda Darnell were all filming “Fallen Angel” for Otto Preminger for 20th Century Fox. Otto kept making Linda’s role bigger and bigger - she and Andrew’s were incendiary! Then he told Alice what was going on… so in a week or so out, when her shooting was completed, she packed her things, left an explenetive on her mirror for Zanuck on her mirror and drove off Fox until 1960 when she returned to film a remake of “State Fair”, which Andrews starred in in 1945- for Fox.

If you did not know who Dana Andrews was, by the title of this video, you could think he was actually a female.

Never "warmed" to Andrews as an actor...Richard Widmark and Robert Mitchum, could play anti-heroes and still elicit charisma and 'pathos." for their characters.
