@@syaredzaashrafi1101the footage is not real. only one spacecraft has ever gotten close to pluto (new horizons), and it was around 7,800 miles away from it. however, the sun appears yellow from earth because the earth’s atmosphere acts as a filter, distorting the observable color into something yellow-ish. astronauts have said that from space it looks more white-ish. i’m not sure what color the sun would look like from pluto, since its atmosphere is different than ours. the sun can look just about any color with the right filter. edit: if the question was “is that the same sun as our’s,” then yeah, it is.

This comment has just given me the most amazing video game idea. So the premise is that you like go around planets and stuff and 'discover' them, like mars and stuff. The planet you start on looks exactly like earth, but the final level of the game asks you to discover earth, but it's a barren wasteland that is like the boss level. The final cut scene? Zooming out cinematically to reveal the first 'planet' is in fact, a space station, presumably because Earth has been ruined

That feeling just before the days starts up, it's a little brisk but not cold. There's a sense of expectation hanging in the air. Infinite potential. I love that time of day.

I had no idea you could read a book on pluto, i always assumed the sun would look like a very bright star from that distance
@DANGJOS Жыл бұрын
Yeah, unfortunately this is something that The Magic School Bus got very wrong on their Pluto episode, as much as I still love that show. I remember when I calculated how bright the sun would be and realized that it would actually be a hell of a lot brighter than a tiny star. If it were that dim, it would have been impossible for us to have ever seen Pluto from its brightness alone.
