I'm enjoying the Australian series. I find Australian creatures fascinating. A friend i chat to, mentions about the huntsman that come into his house. I'd love that, since they would get rid of the annoying bugs, since they are currently in their summer.

Most houses here have a huntsman or two of some species hanging out in the house, and some redbacks in the shed 😂

My Nan had one in her yard in Gosford (where the reptile park used to be) and it would NoT move, stood its ground, but surprisingly we don’t see much of them, red belly blacks are prob the most common, one was swimming in our local pond the other day after the duck eggs (I live half an hour from the reptile park)

As a 10 year old in Sydney I had my one and only encounter with a Death Adder. My friend and I were in the bush at the end of our street. My mate had just found a new cave and I was hurrying down the rock to get to the entrance. On my way I jumped down between 2 rocks approx 3 feet high into a bunch of leaf litter. As I got my footing I heard the slightest hiss. I calmly looked down to see my left foot had landed 2 inches from the fattest coiled D.A 's head. I can next remember being back on top of one of those 3ft rocks. Adrenaline had kicked in and I vertically escaped. Another inch and I would have been tagged. I concur that they, though deadly are very forgiving compared to Browns and Taipans etc. Accurate portrayal imho.🐍

Man I haven't heard about these since I watched Wild Recon as a kid. Crazy to see this pop up in my feed today! While this is a dangerous animal, I'm glad to see that you aren't quaking in fear or really highlighting that for the sake of drama on camera. That said, if I want to handle a snake I might stick to the garters at home or my ball python...

They only really attack you if you step on them or something like that and that's a problem because they stay still and don't flee.

I'd like to have seen an example of how fast his striking is on an inanimate object of some sort, then do it slow mo. But it doesn't sound like he is keen on biting, anyway.

Be kind to ol Joe Blake and never ever step on a snake 🎵

It is the fasted striking on earth! Gaboon second! And the costal/papuan taipans and eastern brown are most dangerous snakes on earth not the black mamba! Speed but mainly venom toxicity! You will die in 20 mins if you get a bad bite! Stay safe and respect these animals and enjoy there beauty! God bless all! 🙏🕊🩵
