Glad I got to meet him before he passed. Caught him after a show at the agora in cleveland. Seen him walking in the front door while i was waitin for my ride and ran over to see him. Got a huge hug and a couple minutes to fan-gasm abit. One of my favorite vocalist of all time.

I know that no one will really care about what I’m gonna say but I’m gonna say it anyway, My brother dose death metal vocals and he started just by trying to copy what Corpsegrinder did and you know just try to sound like what we listen to and he practiced every day and still dose but one day he found out about a band call Slaughter To Prevail and then he went full on Extreme death metal/deathcore vocals/screaming and now he can do the death metal pig scream which I find crazy cause he’s only been doing it for a few months

That's cool as hell, I just do it for fun but watching deathcore vocalists like Alex Terrible and Will Ramos not only helped me find the comfortable techniques, but really encouraged me to experiment with crazy sounds. The Charismatic Voice has fantastic videos about it with Will.

When i was younger i was terrified of corpsegrinder, i played in a band and understood music better and realized its all just artistic and emotional expression. Now we are all middle-aged and have social media i find out George is one of the nicest dudes great husband and father. for me the greatest death/grind vocaal performaces are in early carcass and pretty much any deicide album....the reason being that the vocals are a perfect match for the 'theme' of the band..... carcass vocals actually sound like rotten dismembered corpses and glens vocals in deicide sound like demons, hateful, angry and scary.... growling is one thing but getting the sound perfect to suit the theme of a band is vary rare
