I’ve played guitar for 55 years. Always thought it was my soul destiny. However I’ve never seen another man play guitar like Mateus. Usually you can master one or two styles. Mateus plays everything better than most.

the greatest musicians are able to influence/be influenced by natural phenomena. Phish is particularly adept at it. I was able to do it during the Eclipse and transmute an amazingly beautiful chord progression that I never would have been able to write on my own.

Music created with soul becomes legend. thats Why buckethead is my favourite musician. He doesnt sing, but he put his heart in his music. its like an expression of what someone feels inside and very few people can turn that into music. but you are also right, I mean we are human being anyway. We can have soul towards music but we can also be terrible towards others. We are complex!

Its like he plays guitar in the same way a person with extremely neat handwriting would write in immaculately clean, aesthetically pleasing and legible cursive, where as most other guitarists sound like they're just writing in print with their non dominant hand, getting by but not nearly as fluently or cleanly.
