For example in Russia, it's estimated that 50% of all "new" luxury cars are actually stolen car. So a stolen US Aston Martin could and most likely will end up on the Instagram feed of a rich russian millionare. Pretty much all of those cars can be tracked by their navigation units via the dealer/manufacturer with or without a battery in the car. There's a much bigger story here.
@Si74l0rd2 жыл бұрын
Tesla's perhaps, but there's nothing to track if there's only a passive signal from an unpowered tracker. If the manufacturer doesn't get someone on the cars tail pretty quick, then the thieves will disable whatever is necessary until it gets to it's new country/owner. It's not a clueless newbie when there are 35 cars with factory trackers fitted sat in his backyard and this is the first anyone knew about it. They've been worked on by someone before being parked there, otherwise 35 cars would all disappear at the same spot, which is equally suspicious. Either the cars owners are involved in the fraud, or there's an organised crime element to it. But unless someone has fit a SIM enabled tracker in a non factory locale on the car, once the power sources are disconnected, or the area sufficiently shielded, it's game over.

Just like Mr. Daniel Smith said, it was more than likely insurance fraud. I know of a similar situation that happened near me. This group would be called upon to steal a car from an owner who either could no longer afford the car or a purchase was lined up beforehand and then the car was "stolen" with the express purpose of defrauding the insurance company. Newer cars that only use a fob are incredibly easy to steal. I have seen where thieves use signal boosters to get into and steal the cars. One will walk around the home with the booster while the other pulls the handle of the car. When the one gets close to where the car keys are in the home the booster amplifies the signal and the car thinks the fob is near and even inside it allowing the thieves to drive off with the car. I am pretty sure there is video online showing thieves doing this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpzCl4eKoayWg6M kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2SbooSpqqqMhdU

@@nicolaihjort444 yeah the wing mirrors on the old 6 series are more upwards with an curve in to the frame of the car. The 8 series (as shown) is facing more away from the car at the top.

@Nicolas Mariano Gonzalez No, the mirrors and the overall shape do not match. The F06 has a different mirror base and the indicator is in the lower part of the mirror. However, the 8 series has this kind of mirror with the indicator sorta in the middle/top of the mirror. The F06 is also more rounded in the bonnet shape, this is not.

Or... This is one of the shady entrepreneurs that makes cars voluntarily "disappear" on behalf of individuals who cannot afford the monthly payments. "Oh ,no! I can't find my car. I think it's been stolen... No, I have 'no idea' where it is." He gets a free car; they get the value of the vehicle; everyone wins, except the insurance company.

Why would people leave their keys in their car? Is it really that inconvenient to grab them when you leave the house?
@scotchbonnetfk82 жыл бұрын
This is the confusing part to me. People leaving keys in their cars and I'm over here putting my fob in a faraday bag as soon as I get home so thieves can't use the trick where they aplify the signal from your window and have their buddy unlock and start the car. I don't even use the fob to open the doors in case someone is using a device for a replay attack (capture and save the unlock signal so they can use it later).

The key fob can be copied even if it's inside your house. They use an amplifier to pickup the RFID signal off it and then copy it to a blank key. They can do this while you're walking by or pressing a button on it and intercept the signal. Lots of vehicles shipped over seas. Also they buy a crashed auction vehicle and swap the Vin plated parts over then crush the old one. Nothing you can do about it. Fuel pump kill switch? Defenseless against a tow truck. If they want it, they'll get it.

Had a vacant corner lot in an economically challenged neighborhood that would end up with stolen, parted car bodies every time the last one was dragged off. The crime was to small for police to do anything and the person doing made deals with all the original owners to “steal” and part it. The original owner kept the insurance money. The guy got a car to part and sell. And no one investigated. Some of the cars were actually stolen, but a lot of fake steals too.

My concern is that those videos will show the thieves how to steal the cars and more thieves will increase☹🥴. Do you know when you believe and obey Jesus, you can call on Jesus for help and God will give you peace and help the authorities locate the thieves, God will also punish the evildoers now or one day God will throw them to hell (Lake of Fire) if the thieves do not repent. Most importantly, It is the inheritance of God's kingdom that will last forever. We trust God for everything! Amen! Call on Jesus now to confess your sins and receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

in most cases, usually you start the grow-op first, run up a bunch of cash with a few grow cycles that need to be represented “legally”, either you start a business that is easy to wash money through or you buy cars cash or both, sometimes those cars themselves are vin washed as well, and will only pop when you try to register them with the dmv or happen to get pulled over. so either you part em out, ship em out, or know someone that can someone fix the issues your going come across with the DMV.
