Today we go back into the lore of the beyblade metal series, and attempt to answer a question most of us never even realized was an issue to begin with. How did Nemesis Revive without the star fragment from kings bey Variares?

I never even paid attention through rewatches to know Nemesis didn't get King's Star Fragment, but with what you described it makes sense so King's Star Fragment would still be at full power when they first escaped Armageddon

I’m honestly late to the party and not many people will probably see this comment but I’m gonna do so anyway since you’re a great KZbinr and I like your channel. If you think about Meteor L drago, it has a rubber energy ring that can absorb the opponents spin strength. For L drago destructor, I’m pretty sure that it has the same rubber energy ring or fusion wheel but just the survive performance tip to go along with it and draw out battles. If you compare this rubber aspect to Dashan Wang’s Rock Zurafa rubber spin track however, the rubber spin track is only able to deflect or absorb attacks in the sense that they are nullified, but the actual spin strength itself is not actually absorbed compared to L drago. Why I’m saying this is because it may prove that there is simply a limit to what rubber can achieve because keep in mind that lighting L-drago didn’t have rubber at the time but was still able to absorb spin strength and spirit with the Dark Power regardless. As a result, I have a theory that it’s not that Ryuga’s rubber absorbs spin strength on its own and no longer “needs” the dark power, but rather he has that same power that he can now control within the rubber itself and the rubber only works because it is merely an expression of an evolved but controlled version of the dark power. Basically, Ryuga’s rubber is a nothing but a new creative representation of a controlled dark power that dictates whether or not he can absorb the spin strength or the spirit itself depending on the greed and anger of the user and of others as seen in beyblade metal fusion. So, since the dark power drives on greed and emotions, that could explain why the actual star fragment of Chris’s bey was being absorbed during their battle, as Ryuga was very power hungry and thirsty at that time. As for Rago, Ryuga was also very hungry and power thirsty at that time when battling him the first time. However, failing to absorb it’s spirit means that Nemesis simply contains a stronger version of the dark power as Emeraldmines mentioned, and since Nemesis had already absorbed a bunch of Power from the other legendary bays as well, my conclusion is set. The conclusion is that interestingly, the reason why Ryuga couldn’t absorb Nemesis’s power was because the very greed that created his dark power in metal fusion and transgressed into what we see in metal fury was ultimately his downfall due to trying to absorb an entire colossal of dark power at once which is kind of what Rago said. Yes, the dark power can absorb both the spin strength and the spirit but even going back to Ryuga’s metal fusion days, he never absorbed more power from a chunk of bladers in one sitting than he could handle. He either went for individual strong bladers one at a time such as Kyoya or Tsubasa, or, went for a group of WEAKER bladers in which their total power gain isn’t that much when again, compared to that of Kyoya or Tsubasa. If Ryuga had just not been greedy and went for the same tactic by targeting individual bladers like Chris in metal fury, then his own controlled dark power probably would have worked and continued to grow as a result. Sorry for the long essay lol but I just wanted to know what people think of my theory, statements and conclusion. Thank you Emeraldminer for your amazing content and I hope you succeed even more.

For the 9 years that I've been a fan of the show I've always been stumped by King never fighting in one of the power-collecting stadiums and Nemesis still being able to evolve. I never thought about Ryuga being a link for the star fragment to travel through, and the individual star fragments themselves being like batteries. It does remove the plot hole and is very impressive writing if it was really planned. Overall, this was a very interesting and was really well thought out!

@@BuE551 Yeah that's my problem with this theory. Why does L-Drago need to be directly absorbed if Nemesis gains all the power of the bladers that have fought the legendary bladers? Chris, Dynamis and Aguma had fought all the legendary bladers at one point with the exception of Tithi. So Nemesis should have evolved with Tithi fought in the stadium, and it shouldn't have taken until a bunch more fights had happened, including Ryuga fighting Nemesis directly.

I have the solution to this. On episode 138 Rago deflected striker, libra, saggitario, and eagles attack by reflecting it. Pluto and Rago then stated that “we did not just absorb the star fragment, we absorbed the power of every bey you have ever fought. Tiffy and Aguma have fought King before, so he was also technically one of they beys they have fought before.

that’s how he got king animal imprints yes but he never absorbed his star fragment as it was never transferred between his previous battles. Nemesis needed 10 total star fragments and he got it via himself (1 star) johannes gave him 2 with Chris and aguma, dynamis got cursed and gave his so now we have 4 total fragments. The rest was via the temple stadium energy design which absorbed power from Kyoya Vs dynamis, Tithi vs aguma, gingka Vs Chris, yuki vs aguma & vs cycnus. So now we have 8. Ryuga dumbass directly gave him 1 and also the fragment he absorbed from Chris ( Chris gave the rest of the fragment with aguma and dynamis before) which then accelerated nemesis revival because it reached 10 total fragments.

(Note: I haven't watched the video before commenting this so I don't know if you covered this, just my theory.) Rago explained in one of the last episodes, that not only did Nemesis gain the power of the star fragments, but also the power of every bey that the pieces of the star fragment have ever fought against as well. So since Ryuga and King had battled once, Rago was able to absorb the power of Variares during his little showdown with Ryuga just moments before the god of destruction was fully revived.

Here is a fun fact about the 3 nemesis bladers (the 3 People Who were with Rago when he was found). Keyser (The guy Who wears the astma mask) Is named after Pieter Dirkdzoon Keyser, Who was a navigator Who created the IRL constilation og Musca Whom his bey (Beeizeb) was named after. Herschel was named after William Herschel Who discovered the planet Uranus (hence why he uses Duo Uranus). And Cycnus is similar to his bey Cycnus. Who is a Swan Constilation. Also in Greek Mythology 4 People were named cycnus or cygnus and most of them turned into swans

Post revival he had the power of every bey in the world but he needed 10 star fragments first to achieve that and he never absorbed any of Kings. This video explains it

The only reason why L drago was able to attempt to steal the star fragment from Orion was bc it’s immense stamina it’s like a bonus which allowed Ryuga to push pass it’s absorption limit that could allow him to spin steal stamina and syphon the star fragment simultaneously. He couldn’t do it with other beys like Leone and Pegasus since both immediately would lose stamina in spin stealin

Ryuga still hasn’t mastered his new bey early on too plus we know it’s all plot based anyways . Plus Kyoya egged him on about relying on stealing the power of others before they battled. Basically saying Ryuga is weak and has to rely on the power of others instead of his own to win bey battles. Than they battled, he beats kyoya easily, than ginka than yuki. He later learns from them about the star fragment than gets power hungry again. Simply it seems like Ryuga was shocked that he wasn’t going to be the strongest for long and that others were starting to close up on him and L-drago. His whole entire character shifted to tracking down potential threats, stealing their power and remaining the strongest. Than he ran into Rago who did his job better than he could, his ego couldn’t take working together, rago forced him to his knee’s than even after using his ultimate move. It simply wasn’t good enough than that was the moment his character shifted and finally listened. His entire character does a 180. Sucks that’s the way he went out instead of him and ginka settling their differences and being the last two left and combining their strengths together. Since they were technically the first two known users of the second star fragment bladers with the first being nemesis. basically the heavens sending them two to earth the stop nemesis in the near future.

They said they gained the "power" of every bey that only the legendary bladers battled. Which is a lot from the battle bladers qualifiers, the world championship, and them traveling around the world. Not to mention the fact the legendary bladers have battled thousands of beys in their own countries. This is still not LITERALLY every bey, because this process only goes one level deep. But when gingka gets the power, anyone with a TV or access to internet sends him their power, which is probably at least 90% of all bladers, which is why he completely over powers nemesis. But yes this is how he got Vari Ares abilities.

Yo wait this is pretty cool, I just thought of something we could essentially make a whole star fragment farm with this theory. Let's say ryuga steals some star fragment energy from Chris like 1/2 or 1/4 of it. Then Chris recharges fully. But ryuga gives part of the fragment he stole to someone else. Like he did with Kenta. And he constantly gets and gives star fragments to other people making them legendary bladers also. Yeah he probably wouldn't do that being the type of person he is, he would most likley keep the power from himself. And yeah Chris probably does not have the mental state to do that. As we saw he dint look to healthy when ryuga stole part of his fragment but still if they do the process they could essentially give others star fragments to random peeps and it dosent have to be from just Chris it can be from others maybe besides a left rotating variaries cause well. He can't steal from other left rotating beys. So like if masamune wanted to evolve striker he just gotta ask ryuga to get that star fragment and give it to him.

I've always noticed this pothole, and all the information he says in this video. However, Nemesis doesn't just need 10 full "batteries" because if we are going by this logic and the fact that he essentially copies every power of the bladers that the fought he should have already evolved before Ryuga even fought him. Also how could Chris have recharged that quickly he didn't even battle anyone in between when he fought Ryuga then Prototype Nemesis. I understand everything that you are saying but there are just too many variables like how fast one can recharge their star fragment, or how much power did Ryuga really take, what are the true rules of Nemesis taking power of the star fragments, etc. It wouldn't surprise me if the writers of the show just forgot about King or they'll just say the whole temple had this ability to transfer the power of the star fragments if they just battled. However, I will admit that this was a good video wether this theory is true or not. Keep up the great work!

Remember rago or Pluto said in one of the episodes when he fought gingka or someone he stated as nemesis absorbs the fragments it also absorbed all the beys they’ve fought meaning Kronos fought king Ryuga fought king and gingka and Chris briefly fought king so with that beginning said that’s why it didn’t have to Touch him also it had the power of sag eagle and Libra so it absorbs everything down to the very first battle they had that’s why it was able to evolve

the star fragments were never really absorbed, it was only the energy of the fragment, even though king never gave his energy you have to remember that both pegasus and L drago have an aditional star fragment and even if argued that those are weaker than the metal fury fragment since nemesis took both its fair to say that combined they equal kings fragment. on another note some could argue that L drago vanished because he gave the entire fragment to kenta making him the new legend blader but the counter argument to that is that rayuga not only survived (which means he had left over power to teleport out of there) but we also see him with a new L drago in the manga. so kenta only got rayugas left over power which was enough to transform his bey (simular to how rayugas l drago evovled to meteo without gaining a fragment). This also proves why zeus barrier was so easily broken as the power of the bladers charging it was not at 400% (all of them were beat up). so rayugas left over power is enough to transform kentas bey and since its the energy of the fragment kenta is now able to function as a legend blader.

I personnly guess that it was a mistake of the anime, and the fact that nemesis absorbed the power of every opponent the legendary bladers battled doesn't mean that it absorbed star fragment of those beys so as you said, the only way to explain that, is that nemesis doesn't needed the power of stars fragments, but just a big power, and Ryuga was so strong that his power was enought to complete Nemesis reborn

The only problem I have with the whole Ryuga battled King so that’s the link is that by that logic, Nemesis should’ve been born wayyy before. With just Aguma they should have the powers of Gingka, kyoya, King, Ryuga, and yuki since aguma has fought Gingka and yuki in the tag team tournament, kyoya otw to dynamis’ temple, and king from the beyster island tournament. The only one they wouldn’t have is tithy but they get that power when aguma fights against tithy head on so they should already have the power of all the legendary bladers wayyy earlier

Every other battle the beyblades clash against the dark bey spirits of their own beyblades, either it has to be based on the star fragment ID that each bey had, and since Kenta has Ryuga's that star fragment is still registered as LDrago in nemesis, or its just a big diss to ryuga's memory and he's using Ldrago's bey spirit to taunt him

Right, it got his abilities and moves from the memories that it had from scythe kronos and phantom orion battling vari ares, but the star fragment I considered separate. If he only needed the information of each bey diablo nemesis would have had ryuga's earlier from Pegasus. It's only after stealing energy from Ryuga that it gathers the complete amount of energy the star fragment contained. My theory is basically it got a double portion of phantom orion from both Ldrago after it absorbed it, and from orion itself afterward after it regenerated that star fragment power like a battery.

There's plot hole about how the legendary bey Galaxy Pegasus recognizes Gingka's firing blader spirit maybe the spirit of Storm Pegasus goes to the legendary bey Galaxy Pegasus after defeated Lighting L Drago in Battle Bladers maybe thats how we have seen Galaxy Pegasus let Gingka touch it on the ford head in Gingka's vision and later on we have seen Galaxy Pegasus uses Storm Bringer that gives us an hint the spirit of Storm Pegasus has been reborn as Galaxy Pegasus.

Even if people say that Variares's fragment was taken due to his battles against Cronos, Orion, Pegasus and even L-Drago, that doesn't make sense: The only bey capable to absorb the power of other beys alongside Nemesis is L-Drago but he never took Variares' since Mars' bey when he battled L-Drago both were in left spinning rotations. Until this battle, L-Drago was famous for absorbing power from other beys with the dark power, but when Lightning goes into Meteo, the dark power is replaced by the special energy ring coated in rubber which only works against normal rotation bey. So when battling, L-Drago NEVER managed to take Variares' star fragment and if never he took Variares' fragment then yup, Nemesis should have NEVER got Variares' power, or even a skill from Variares': the Delta Drive changing tip from the 3 types. Edit: the plot hole filling was that line where he said that Nemesis absorbed all beys who've fought the beys of the legendary bladers

Because they also need the imprint of the information of those legendary Beyblades that they never battled like Death Quetzalcoatl, it's also possible that they didn't realize that the power recharges because they're cartoonishly evil and they don't care enough to know how the bey spirit actually works. Like when Johannes saw that Ryuga was stealing Chris' fragment his reaction was "Aye this ain't funny I won't let someone else steal this power" He thought once you stole it, it was gone for good, so its fair to say his bosses thought the same

Vari ares doesn't have the dark power or rubber so it doesn't "absorb power" like L-drago in left rotation. And the point I made there was in reference to King battling Gingka, Aguma and Ryuga, whose power were absorbed by nemesis, so the imprint that Vari Ares made on those beys is what was absorbed and allowed it to have the power of all the legendary beys

Because Ryuga was to power hungry in the end his heart wasn’t in the right place that’s what held him back. he went back to his power hungry self, he was the most talented blader he quickly mastered his bey compared to everyone else, went through a redemption arc sorta but the instant he seen/heard their we’re others with the same powers from a star that he and gingka had he started going going after them instead of further expanding his own power with his own strength he wanted to have more. I’m guessing he didn’t learn that wasn’t such a good idea the first time, he was given another chance to do good but went alone to face nemesis allowing him to basically steal more of his raw power making it harder for everyone else yet again 😂
