I have never heard of such a theory before. I must point out that the Eyes of Medusa are fundamentally different from Reiji's dark power. First and foremost, the dark power's effects are more illusion-based and rely on the fear the opponent feels. Julian and Gravity Destroyer, however, use gravity, and the effect of the gravity field is represented by the opponent's Bey turning to stone. This has been mentioned multiple times on the show, emphasizing that Beys have unique powers. For example, Flame Libra can generate sound waves, mainly due to its shape, spin velocity, and balance. I must say I'm also disappointed that Reiji didn't come back. Except for Doji, we never had a villain who returned for revenge against Gingka. I think it's okay for Reiji to be enigmatic and mysterious-it really adds to his aura as a terrifying villain. I just think that Reiji was a violent and sadistic Blader who battled in the streets rather than in official tournaments, and that Doji heard of him and recruited him. I could be wrong, though.

So for how julien unlocks the eyes of medusa, you know how there is a version of perseus with the stamina ring where all parts of the wheel are covered, in the battle with reji he broke off the ring parts covering the eyes of medusa aka counter mode and with that he basically uses a "mirror" on serpent defeating reji and "gaining medusa's head" trough counter mode

This was well thought out theory. What comes to mind with Julian absorbing Medusa is destiny. Like Destroyer was meant to possess Serpent's Medusa avatar like in Greek mythology. Metal Fury's whole story were about the legendary bladers chosen by destiny to seal Nemesis. So it wouldn't be too far off.

You could argue that thr pre evolution form of Gravity Destroyer acted like a black hole while in reverse rotation, uncontrollably absorbing the power from other beys to achieve its evolution. Because of this, Julian might have been forbidden from using the bey in reverse rotation. However when he encounters Reiji, Julian realised that the only way to win is to use reverse rotation. Mid match, Gravity Destryoer could absorb enough of sepent's power (cutting off Medusa's head) in order to evolve and gain more stable gravity powers, as well as the eyes of Medusa. By doing this, it overcame its forbidden power, similar to Meteo L-Drago.

A german KZbinr made a very nice Theory about Reji, that The dark Nebula tested the anrangment system on Reji, because they work together with haded inc. I have an idea on the absorbing power part. It could be because of perseus/destroyer’s ability to use reverse rotation that he could absorb regi’s power. This could be explained by the fact Meteo L drago can absorb power without the dark power, because of its reverse rotation and the rubber coated energy ring that helps L drago absorb power. This means that any reverse rotation bey including destroyer can absorb power just not close to the extent of L drago. Other than that this theory is perfect in my opinion.

Julian doesn’t have to absorb the power. It could just be defeating a remnant of Medusa, allows destroyer to gain the counter mode, which in the show gave him access to the eyes of Medusa. We’ve seen other characters unlock different modes mid battle when previously they never had it.

Ngl show is nostalgic and great for me but they could do a lot more, i feel like they didnt try that hard because its just ad for beyblade toys but still they could do a lot better job on anime adn make it a lot popular like they could: 1. Add reiji vs julian battle along with your theory 2. Not making masamune lose all battles then in the end with ginga beat second strongest blader in season(they could make ginga lose atleast one battle cuz of development(could lose to damian while masamune and ryuga win that would him and damian better characters) 3. Being more careful about power levels like jack was introduced as badass than beating Klaus and then Ryuga and tsubasa humble him like they could make tsubasa lose or dont battle him at all like that just makes him worse as a villian (also about power levels tsubasa didnt train because he was in the hospital so how tf did he win i mean i know its spirit or power of emotions but still 4. The concept of Gravity Perseus absorbing Medusa could be explained by the lore of Perseus and it's mode change. So Julian goes into this battle with every intention to slay the serpent. Reji is a strong opponent. Julian realizes the only way to defeat the serpent is to cut off its head. This unlocks the counter mode on Gravity Perseus. The energy ring turns showing the red eyes as reji's serpent closes in. Perseus being the skilled warrior switches the direction of its spin. GP can be launched in right or left spin. So Julian had Perseus counter reji's serpent and this shattered serpent and reji's ego. Seeing this dark power has taken over reji and is now free to roam. Perseus switches back into its regular mode. Thus trapping the dark energy and now holding Medusa by her hair snakes Perseus and Julian have vanquished the serpent and reji's beyblade career.

While I love your theory, I think Reiji was actually a prototype of the arrangement system. And its possible that Doji just requested a blader from Ziggurat to help in the battle against Gingka and his friends. That also explains why we never saw Reiji until the start of Battle Bladers. Just like Damien, Blader DJ says that he had no record on any tournaments so he has no idea how he got the 50,000 points. It all matches perfectly with an HD Academy blader. As for the reason Reiji has "dark power" is simply because he is nothing but a poser. He calls his move a "dark move" but that is just a fancy name to make his opponents and everyone else fear him, sience at the time Ryuga was the only one with an actual dark move.

i like your theory just at the end like you admitted was a bit of a stretch. i think i have something less so and could still fit in line with him saying the "perseues slayed medusa line" what if reji's beyblade broke,(like medusa being decapitated) thus breaking the curse but instead of keeping it as a memento it turns to dust(shattering the shackles on reji's psyche and could allow him to get another bey in the future maybe a salamander,dragon or lizard) and julian's bey could absorb it, maybe a brief avatar interaction (no words obviously) like of perseus letting out a battle cry and holding medusa's head before the "dust" is "absorbed" into perseus. not because he can absorb energy but because medusa found him worthy and this is displayed via avatar triumph.

If we look at manga logic, Lighting L-Drago evolve to altered version (black) when absorbing power at 4 way battle at battle bladers, then that L-Drago evolve to Meteo when absorbing Sol Blaze power, and then again Meteo evolve to Destroy/Destructor when absorbing Horognium/Tempo power, and last Destroy/Destructor evolve to gold version when battling Cosmic/Big Bang Pegasis at legend blader tournament. Same thing with Pegasis. Storm evolve to Galaxy when battling L-Drago altered version (black), and then Galaxy evolve to Big Bang/Cosmic when battling Hades Kerbecs. If we look at this logic at manga universe, it will be possible if Perseus/Destroyer gain some abilities after or maybe during battling Poison Serpant. Well, because Serpant's dark power isn't from star fragment like L-Drago, it will not make Perseus/Destroyer evolve, but only gain new abilities. So yeah, if we put at manga logic, it's very possible, but if we put at anime logic, it's extremely rare. And yeah, we know that Variares is predcessor of Gravity Perseus/Destroyer and have much more power, but it not have eyes of medusa ability. Soooo it make the theory is possible.

I was always wondering about this question. I thought he died since he turned into a stone after losing to Ginga in the semi-finals. Apperently he didn't because you can see him in the final picture of Metal Fusion and then later in Masters on the list of Japanese best bladers. They didn't know what to do with him. This theory is actually quite good and legit possible. There is also a possibility after L-Drago went wild he battled Reiji behind the scenes and absorbed his powers too. There was a dark green light coming out of L-Drago which could he the one of Serpent's. That could explain what was with him during the end of Fusion. He may have become more cruel and ruthless than ever before or just stopped beyblading. There is a possibilitie that he wasn't evil anymore since after the defeat against Ginga he probably got freed from the Dark power. I like your Julian theory because it's very interesting and it makes a lot of sense but i still think Reiji was realesed from thr Dark power and was no longer a threat to the Beyblade world. This theory seems way too contrived. This would include so many assumptions. Like why would Julian care at all about Japanese bladers before the World Championships. There's just no narrative reason for them to meet up and quite unecessary explanation for the Medusa eyes when that ability is a pretty self explanatory as a function of Perseus' inherent power as an Avatar and the Gravity Fusion wheel. We see the eyes of the wheel light up every time the ability is used so it makes no sense that it came from somewhere else.

My own idea for reji is a bit different. (this is my head canon but I still have it make sense for the most part) See once we found out hades inc was associated to the dark nebula, it made sense as to why ryuga was in a chamber that looked very similar to the arrangement system. I believe that ryuga and reji were using a beta version of it to gain control over the dark power, and not a normal arrangement. Once zigurat finds out about that, he cuts ties with him like he said in metal masters. As to where he went after he lost to ginkga, I think the WBBA sent him to a mental institution to rehab. This would explain why we never see him again in the show. Now your idea about a curse that was put onto serpent kinda fixes the issues ive been having writing my own story. Which again id love to dm with you about that if you're interested, ive been cooking it up for quite a while :)

I'm really looking forward to your analysis on this season and they talk in further depth about how powers work in both burst and OG I often use it to explain stuff happening in metalfight so I really think finishing all three gens could give you more perception on each of them as a whole , sorry for the long comment .

@@ragohades4717 Doji defeated a much weaker kyoya who only had one special move, no training. Kyoya got WAY stronger. Phoenix one shot Wang Hu Zhong after they had already battled for an extremely long time which naturally tired them out.

I must admit that the theory of Julian gaining the power of Medusa's eyes from Reiji is highly probable. And because of this, I don't know why, but I thought that Gravity Destroyer is actually an evolution of the previous Destroyer that Julian previously also had as a result of taking over the power of Medusa's eyes from Reiji; it is worth noting that Proto Nemesis evolved into Diablo Nemesis after taking over the power of the Star Fragments of all Legendary Bladers. Maybe it was exactly the same with Destroyer during the fight with Serpent? And who knows, maybe Julian used backspin in this fight? After all, Ryuga's L-Drago (in all forms) was able to absorb power from the opponent, and each of them rotated to the left, and Julian's Destroyer was stronger with left-side rotation than with right-side rotation, similar to King's Variares. I'm curious what you think about this...

I guess reji arrogantly challenge julian . But for reji turn into nightmare. Reji freak out seeing that all of his attack are useless against dystroyer defence. Julian being arrogant powerful blader . He take away reji power and complely humilate him . After that reji confidence might have shattered after getting humiliated by julian
