Too bad this doesn't fit the algorithm / genre of KZbin reaction videos, but ever since I was a little kid, my mother gave me the advice of "Don't pass judgement on something new until you've given it at least three tries" Your first reaction is going to be compared to your expectations. And your second reaction is going to be compared to your first reaction. So it isn't until your third reaction that you know how you really feel about something on its own merits. (And Marwan's kitty cat looks like an absolute chill fluffer. Best cameo!)

It is so different from the original and from all the covers I’ve heard that it’s almost not the same song. That doesn’t mean it’s not a great piece of music though, it’s just that you have to appreciate it for itself and not just as a cover.

I STILL HAVE INSAINEAQUARIUM. It's the same sound. AS soon as you mentioned it I *knew* you were going to name it... Popcap was the publisher I think.. idk maybe it was just the website, I bought it on Big Fish Games for my little sister (and my mom) when I was like 17

Middle guest singer was Danny Brevik, a professional bass-baritone (?) who was featured on Bobby Water's Hoist the Colors.

I forgot about the death fish sound from Insaniquarium. I at first thought of Donald Duck (maybe game developers took inspiration from?) Edit: Clarence Nash, original VA for Donald Duck DID the sound effect for the game!

Tomi P going full on in an off-the-shoulder pink dress & flower in his hair is perfect! Yes, Tomi has at least a 4 octave chest range.
@Guest.7289_24 ай бұрын
That would require tomi having a G5 chest which I don't think he does his its like 3 octaves and 4 semitones (G1-B4)as far as I know

You never know what you’re going to see or hear in a Bass Gang video. My thought process when watching a BG video is now “expect the unexpected” and “be prepared to have your mind blown”.

Did you watch it again/how are you finding it by now Mortius? I actually somehow had missed the song (I tend not to watch that much disney related thigns) and it was my first time hearing it with their cover of the song. I have heard it a few times now and it is growing on me, it is a pretty cool cover and the chaos overlapping section is pretty cool (I also love the hurricane verse effects for lack of better descriptions) Vocally still awesome, and Tomi rocked the dress :P
@dorothyrosenberg13017 ай бұрын
The Bass Gang can do no wrong. Just get used to that. Changing one’s expectations and previous perceptions can be growth. For example: I’m still accepting Tomi in a pink dress & hair rose even though I dream of his bare chest.
@nudgificator Жыл бұрын
I have to agree that it's not my favourite version of this song, but very impressive as a feat of arrangement and performance. My one... 'problem' is too strong a word, hesitation maybe, is not including Felix's 'Thunderrr!' in the first verse. Keeping the line 'Are you telling this story or am I?' makes no sense if you don't also include his interruption.

How much can you change a song and still have it be a cover? This pushes the envelope by quite a bit.
