I loved part one. I didn't know how people started collecting could be so interesting. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed the video. I started collecting at 15. I was with some friends, we were all shopping at the mall. I told them I wanted to buy a doll for my sister. I had seen My Scene dolls commercials on TV and i fell in love! So me and my friends walked into a KB Toys in the mall and I bought the My Scene Barbie My room set because it had a closet with so many outfits. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was love at first site. I felt so excited to be buying while also trying to act like it's totally not for me and definitely for my sister lol. I went home and couldn't wait to rip into it and was collecting on and off since then.

I remember KB Toys! I just recently discovered MyScene dolls, although I don't have any girl dolls yet. 😛 Thanks so much for sharing!

I think my first doll adventure was playing with my sisters Barbies. And then as an adult I started collecting my little pony because I’d played with them as a child. Great collaboration

I started collecting because I wanted to buy my daughter Barbies that had the big puffy dresses similar to the ones I enjoyed as a kid. I noticed that the modern day Barbies were dresses in regular boring clothes so I started searching on my local buy and sell, which then led to researching information about Barbies, which then led me to discovering Bob Mackie Barbies- and then BAM!💥 I was hooked lined and sinkered 😆 I started watching Suresh NY and Beauty Inside a Box on KZbin, and Suresh NY was the one who gave me confidence about doll collecting. Both of their KZbin videos gave me strength in tough times as well ❤

Hi Enzo! Enjoyed your collab with Chad and Rainn. I'm even older than you buddy. I'm a 73 y.o. collector. Have loved dolls most of my life but at some point in life had to stop and face the real world and work and pretend not to be interested. I hated my own hypocrisy. I was also a caretaker of family members and friends and didn't have time or energy to think of self. Now with all of them passed and I'm retired I live alone peaceably and can have all the fun collecting I want.😊 I have antique, made-to-move Barbies, and my favorites-Tonners! I love fashion dolls with full articulation. Love posing them. You, Rainn, and Chad do more! Joseph.

90's baby here. I enjoyed tons of barbie dolls (and playsets) in my childhood and kept most of them until my adolescence right when my mother asked me to gift some to my younger cousins... I kept my faves (like 10 of them and two playsets) ... But at my 28 y/o I had to move country, from Venezuela to Argentina --latinoamérica being a political mess-- and that meant leaving those dolls & polly pockets I loved so much since forever. Once again my mother asked me to gift them because I didn't know if I could come back, so I did. I cried rivers and more... Only last year I discovered the collectors world aka noticed that I was a collector without knowing it. HJaja Anyways, I am now traumatized with the idea of having to move and leave my beloved stuff again, so I started collecting in a very selective way... just in case.

Loved this! My love for dolls started when i was a kid: when i was like 7 or 8 i asked for “a boy Barbie” for Christmas and Santa gave me the Ken as David Hasslehoff from Baywatch doll. As my sister got older and got Barbie’s i would play with her and we would make up stories where the Barbie’s were “secret agent spies” lmao my mother also was into collecting dolls that she had in her childhood so i would spend time looking on eBay with her and learning more about dolls that way. She had a Midge, Chatty Cathy, Shirley Temple as Heidi, and maybe some others I’m forgetting. I didn’t start collecting dolls myself until G3 of monster high came out. I was randomly watching a video by Darling Dollz (i think i was in a KZbin rabbit hole where i was watching videos about “queer history represented in dolls”) - i think i had their videos just auto playing at work and they started talking about the launch of G3 of monster high. I saw G3 Frankie and was like “yeah i need them”. So like a lot of you, monster high was what opened the flood gates LMAO i would have LOOOOOVED monster high as a kid if i wasn’t too afraid of “liking girl toys”. I was always into horror themed stuff but also loved things that were pretty or cute - so monster high was the perfect combination of those things. I still like those things so i have a thriving G3 collection, among other dolls (had to get an Allan doll, glad i did when i did because a year later the movie released/Rexx from Shadow High is a favorite/etc.)

Love the video! I collected a little bit when I was in my early 20s, but financial deficits put a limit on it. Later, as a teacher in 2016-present somewhere in there I left the special Ed teaching world to start a Tech Team class where I teach students how to repair the chromebooks our district started having the kids use. Now we repair chromebooks for all schools in the district. 6 elementary schools, two middle schools, and the high school. Some of our projects center on the goal of educating the student body on how to take care of their devices and avoid damages. So I started collecting Barbies again so the kids could shoot a short video/skit about that. They had a lot of fun. Somewhere along the way, I discovered Jesus y Sus Dolls channel and learned how to re-root dolls. I’ve been doing that now for a couple years and it is a nice therapeutic creative outlet. Being a part of the doll community on KZbin and IG has been enriching for me. ❤

Love this will be going to watch the rest! My doll collecting has sorta gone in phases. I always always loved Barbie and I remember one year my sister and I were both allowed to choose 1 toy each from the store she chose dream glow Barbie and I chose the Ken after my dad gently trying to get me to choose something else haha. My adult collecting has gone in waves and always had some sorta shame with it, that is until my cancer diagnosis in 2020, long story short had been a Lego collector had to sell that off as part of the process. One day my partner came home with a Barbie dr to look after me and then I discovered Barbie extra and it’s grown from there. I give zero f**ks what people think anymore and I love collecting it’s lead me to follow you and opened up a new world of likeminded people ❤️

I really loved hearing how you all got started collecting 🥰This was a lot of fun! My love for dolls started when i was really little. My Auntie used to bring me a doll when she came to visit. Then my Grandmother started buying me Dawn dolls and i used to keep them in my gym bag and i loved changing their clothes and playing with them. My Great Grandfather started buying me Wish Nick Troll dolls with all different colored hair and i loved those too! Then i started going over my cousins and she had a lot of Barbies and we spent hours playing Dark Shadows Vampires with them under the pine trees in the shade, so my Mom bought me a couple Barbie dolls. Then when we moved and she through them all away and i didn't realize they were gone till we got to our new place. I was about 9 then and i was so gutted. I am an Empath so they were very sentimental too me. I got on with my life and started playing trucks and matchbox cars with the neighborhood boys i was quite the tomboy then climbing trees , making forts and such. Well a couple of years ago i was watching you tube @CandySoul and Soil and she started showing us how she used her dolls in her Tarot practice. That is when i started feeling the urge to get back some of my Dawn dolls and a couple of trolls. They healed an emotional wounds. Then came Rainbow and Shadow High and i fell down the rabbit hole next it was Monster High and i was obsessed. I have been buying old Monster High dolls and fixing them up. I get a feeling of real satisfaction when i get one all done with the glue out of it's hair and found a missing shoe etc. on ebay lol 😂I love the new ones too. Oh my gosh and Bratz lol.Now all i want is a bigger house and lots of shelves. Sorry about the book 📙especially when you don't even know me but i feel it is very theraputic to talk about why we love our dolls. I found you through Rainn 😊So nice to meet you ❤Candy has another channel now called Tiny Soul Whispers for her dolls. I also enjoy March Paine and of course Chad Marvelous. Liked and subscribed ❤

I’m 66 years old and I collect dolls. I was very sad when I found that my mom had given away my dolls one day when I came home from school. She told me that I was too old for dolls. I was around 11 or 12 at that time. I recently ran into a high school friend and found out that she collects Barbie dolls. I think more people collect dolls than is realized. I think the new Barbie movie’s popularity sort of shows that. Great video!
