Great convo again Lex! If anyone is interested in an alternative view about the origin of life on earth I highly recommend reading “Man Being Volume 1: The Transmission”. Not like any book I’ve ever read.

In the beginning, there was only a single pizza pizza creamy garlic dipping sauce in the ocean. It drifted into a car battery and created Paul Anka. He floated onto his stomach and pooped out 3 small winged creatures. We’re all descendants of Paul Anka’s ass birds.

We live in a universe that is composed of matter. We are made of the same stardust. Life in that setting is filled with continued life and death cycles. Imagine another universe that never vibrated at the right frequency to create matter and was composed of only energy. No destructive death cycle could produce a life force billions of years old. Looking forward to the data from the new James Webb telescope to identify the early universe to see what has been added since the beginning of this universe.

So you believe frequency had something to do with life and the creation of it. That means even if there was no life, memories couldn’t actually start or begin until the right frequency was produced. Is that correct? Interesting I like your explanation better and or should be added to Lexs

@@klwklw2583 I subscribe to the string theory current hypothesis that everything matter related in the universe is actually vibrating stings that forms the particles. It suggests that all of these strings are tied other strings across the universe. Michio Kaku has written several papers and his most current book , The God Equation, presents a very readable account leading up to this theory. My personal belief is there are other types of universes that do not develop into matter and remain pure energy. I think this is what we are influenced by and what we perceive to be reality and free will are illusions. IMHO.🤔

@@desertshadow6098 very well thought out. What about quantum Universe’s. Do you think the pure energy within itself is a quantum universe giving life/vibration to a reality we perceive?

@@klwklw2583 I believe that may be the case. We humans are so limited to what we perceive as potential life forms. Our limited senses have developed to navigate the tangible and relevant environment. But our ancestors since the beginning of time have held beliefs and experiences that suggest a higher existence. One of these beliefs that stuck with me for years is how the micro and the macro mirror each other. That was a wisdom circulating centuries before Bohr Einstein Born Schrodinger!

"Life is the Universe developing a memory." I don't know about that. Memory exists without life - I.e. There can be some state of non-living matter, which does not change for a period of time; and you can go back from the present and see what was recorded in this state - that persistent state across time, to my understanding, is memory and does not require life. That said, life (consciousness) may be required to ascribe "meaning" to the state of matter. But, what "meaning" actually is - a concrete definition that would help define/describe consciousness - I don't believe anyone really knows.

Sand turned into cells... Life happened fast... "I know it was simple." ... Where did the matter come from? Where did the elements come from? Where did the laws of the Universe come from? An accent really can make someone sound as if they know what they are talking about. We were designed. It's so obvious. The perfect distance from the sun, the tilt of axis, the orbit, gravity, the carbon cycle, the fact that appealing food comes right out of the earth, the conscience, consciousness, love, the human anatomy.... The fact I can eat something, my body picks out the nutrients and then craps out a turd. The turd can be absorbed by the earth... Incredible! Unbelievable how guests like this can spew such nonsense. Ridiculous.

@@professorpancakes6545 Wow! "SIMPLE" - sand turns into cells :O . Thats deep! The odds for the 1st self-replicating cell to assemble itself from dust and wind are about 1 in 10^40000. Feynman, I think, made a statement, that the odds for abiogenesis are similar to a solar system filled with blind men, who all solve a rubick cube at the same instant. Lex, I comment on nothing EVER. This entire premise is utterly foolish and devoid of any scientific rigour! You continue to have guests on talking about this topic, yet you won’t do 10 mins of research to realize everything they’re saying is baseless and foolish. Do some heavy (or even light) lifting on this topic. You can’t be a serious voice for scientific opinion by relying on this silliness.

@@Arkibus108 “Sand turned into cells”…”the whole premise of life happened relatively fast”…!!?? The shock of watching Lex to listen to this and even follow along and let this hit the airwaves is frightening. Literally a 5 min discussion would provide Lex some basic facts about cell constituents that finally open his eyes on this topic and have him address some of the real points of intrigue here. Listening to Cronin is equal to watching a Disney story. Embarrassingly foolish. Which is disappointing, because THIS topic truly requires some vigorous discussion.
