Thanks for all this videos of yours, they're truly an inspiration to me. To use minecraft to recreate, as realistically as possible, an immersive experience of the ancient roman life is one of the things I've been obsessing on in the last months (and you're even speaking latin, I mean, what can get better than this??). I tried to download your resource pack (to visit the roman forum) but unfortunately conquest runs only on older versions of the game (I have the 1.20). Nontheless, If you're interested, I am working (for 1 year now) on a world that has an architecture similar to that of the ancient mediterranean culture, I just invented a language for it, to make it more believable. I uploaded a video in which I walk through the town that I am constantly expanding. The main goal is to make a civilisation as realistic as possible, with economy, trade, religion and all such things. The town is still small, but by colonizing nearby villages it will grow rapidly. If you're interested I invite you to take a look, mainly because your videos were the inspiration for it. Have a good day!

I think he means the vowel qualities are too similar to the seven-vowel system of Italian instead of a five-vowel system like Castillian Spanish or the Calabrese system. Also, the S was likely retracted and phonemic vowel length was observed in Classical Latin.

I have taken a different path on the points you and he raise. While I will cede points you raise in most cases, provided these are not absolute claims about what I imagine to be some non-existent prescriptivism or some falsely superimposed descriptivism, I tend more towards mass comprehension and clarity, in so far as I am able. Anything beyond my abilities, I will happily let lie where they may. Anything within my abilities and purview, I will work to ameliorate should time permit and should the end justify the means.
