How did the Soviets/Russians capture the Mindflayer, Demogorgon and the Demodogs? Stranger Things 4 revealed a lot about Eleven’s past and dropped a big twist about who is the true mastermind behind the Upside Down’s war on humanity. But with only one season left to go, we still have a lot of unanswered questions - several of which center around the Upside Down.

It really was a bummer that vecna turned out to be the mind flayer. The main villain is no longer a godlike, nigh-omniscient, 50 story-tall, lovecraftian monstrosity, but just some crazy dude with powers.

The particles in that glass chamber was moving, and even entered the demo dogs after it was let loose in the Russian base. But Vecna was busy with his mission so he didn’t need the mind-flayer. Yet the cloud still knew to go to the dogs. It has a mind of its own. I mean it has to.

I don’t think so. Vecna is more than strong enough to focus on multiple things, but I think the bigger issue is the detail/extent of control. For the first Demogorgon, I think Vecna intentionally controlled it to capture Will or attack the lab. But in the scenes with all the Demdogs, I think Vecna probably ordered the Demodogs to attack without controlling each individual- or else Dart would have killed Dustin.

If Vecna is possessing the Mindflayer (which could be a giant colony of tiny creatures that look like the particles/dust), Vecna just had to put portions of the Mindflayer inside the Demos. So If Vecna -possessing the Mindflayer- wants to, he can control an individual Demo, or he can command many of them to complete an action. Like the Demogorgon who kidnapped Will and so many others, Or the Demodogs who tore up Hawkins Lab. But I don’t think He can control more than a few with precision. Or else Dart probably would have killed Dustin.

What I think is this, I believe the Russians captured the demogorgon and dogs as you said in the video, but I think when they got back to Kamchatka the Russians were able to extract the particles of the mind flayer from inside the demogorgon and dogs

Vecna should have been against the mind flayer, and wasnt able to defeat the mind flayer, forcing him to live in hiding. When the russians capture the mind flayer, Vecna takes over the upsidedown

The russians could have other keys they used in Kamchatka too to get the mindlflayer from there in the hopes they would control it for personal use. Wish they had have went with that story rather then having vecna be the mindlflayer itself it would have made more sense and had a very good element to it just saying.

"The Mindflayer" is just a big cloud of particles, it's kinda just a thing it doesn't create violence or attack on it's own it's just Vecna who uses it for his own purposes

There's something more to the green liquid the Russians stored below Starcourt Mall in S3....wouldn't be surprised if it had something to do with how they managed to capture & transport the shadow particles & monsters to Russia. It's almost as if the container they stored the green liquid in, was similar to the oversized ones found hosting the Demogorgans in Russia in S4!

Completely agree, I am hoping the writers really do not give vecna the end villain platform next season. The mind flayer needs to be the cosmic being we all thought it was based on. Shoot Dustin never admitted he was wrong about the 5 star general position nor did the gang call him out for it. I think this whole vecna this is a red herring in the story to distract us from the clues they have given us. Seriously the particles and demedogs/Horgan being captured in Russia, they need to explain that because what if they’ve had those creatures years before the Hawkins situation? It is plausible

I completely disagree with that… where are you getting that information? What facts do you have. So far we only know for a fact that the particles that left Wills body ended up in that abandoned facility a little outside of the Hawkins… that’s where Billy was corrupted….

Because they’re in russia and they’re Russian Soviet’s. Russia existed before the Soviet Union. And it’s not unusual for people to refer to the “soviets” as Russians, and Russians as “soviets”. Sure, it’s a major simplification of the Soviet Union. It’s leaving out a lot. But even in the 80’s we often referred to Russians as soviets, and soviets as Russians interchangeably. It’s not technically right. But it works if you aren’t picky lol.

"soviets i.e now the Russians".. please correct your knowledge. There is a reason Soviet and Russia(n) are two different words. Russia was a part of Soviet union. You can't say NATO alliance is called United States because USA is a part of NATO and not the whole organization.
