Jeremy: You are a good machanic to do those in the field. As I got older I gave up on field work and tell people to only bring them to the shop. Thanks for the video. I agree the ethanol fuel is garbage. I see plugged carbs all the time now.

Jeremy I agree with you I do not see how that was even idling with the carburetor that dirty. You gave some great tips in this video!

Hey Jeremy Greetings from Niagara Falls Canada. You just saved me from scratching a big hole in my melon. I have a 1981 Honda generator on the bench. The carb has a nozzle on top with nothing attached to it. The carb you just fixed had an overflow nozzle and hose. I believe that’s exactly what I have here. Now if I can only get a spark out of it. Thanks for all you do. I’m sure you’re helping more people than you realize. Cheers Brother

Those old Kawasaki FE engines are great engines, i've got one with 1500, almost 1600 hours on it in a Mule and it runs GREAT.

Jeremy….just watched your video on 1200a John Deere bunker rake carb cleaning. Do you have a recommendation for a new one on your Amazon store?

I see a couple carb cleaning coming soon in my future. One is a Makita/Robin generator and an old onan generator in a RV. That carb was nasty, not sure if I should just order Chinese replacements and clean them for a backup.

At first i thought it was a Mikuni carb. Is it a Mikuni?? . You did great on this field call. My service tool box has the tools in it that I started with and the good stuff is in the shop. Great field call.

Doctor, You could install an invertor in your service truck to run the ultrasonic cleaner. A small invertor would run it without heat. A large one would also run the heater circuit on the cleaner.

@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 Any idea why? You might have to purchase one that outputs a true sine wave signal instead of a trapezoid AC signal, but there's no good reason why that wouldn't work. Have you tried an invertor? If so, what kind and size? How much current is required with the heat on?

@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 Yeah Jeremy you should use an ultra sonic cleaner to get the same result in double the time.

Jeremy, great video. my 1200A stops working after 5-6 min of dragging. I replaced the spark plug but that did not work. It runs but when I put it into gear it just stops. I let it rest for 30 min then it runs for another 5 min then it stops. Someone said it is running too rich.....What is your best guess? thank you

I have the same carb off an turf gator sitting here on my desk(KEIHIN 32549) ,seems J D offers a new carb at $425 and a no comprehensive carb kit ,I have not found any thing from Kawasaki yet .If you were to clean it in an ultrasonic cleaner do you put the carb in whole and what type of cleaner Thanks for your video

Looks like the secondary clutch could use some attention. not returning all the way back closed like it should. hence the floppy belt. But yeah, that was a pretty cruddy carb. I agree with "how did it even run?"

P.S. I find the wire in a standard twist tie from a loaf of bread is perfect for cleaning out the primary, secondary, and tirtiary holes in the emulsion tube. Been doing it for years. Never use a drill bit. If ya snap it off, it's a real bear to get out.
