Nice. Got a good tip, and saw someone who knows how to take care of their customers. I used to make my boss mad when I was in the glass business and gave customers inexpensive repairs for free, until they realized how many returned and asked for me specifically. It’s just good business.

A good work ethic, you’ll have a life time customer. Fancy not putting on the part allowing it to leak. I can understand if the shop suggested a safety shield but not gave him the can’t leave the shop without one. You help Customer’s where you can, that passion. It would be nice to hear customer reaction in your repairs, I understand you can’t do it on film but just give us a run down like was extremely happy, oh didn’t think it was that bad or time to buy a new one like with that Stihl MS362 would of liked to know their reaction when you broke the bad news.

I bet I know which shop the owner of that Echo goes to the next time he needs something worked on! Great job and good explanation. Does that vent valve go in a particular location, or just hang out? Hard to believe the guard is required by law. Is that a state law, or something the feds came up with? Seems like the only good it does is automajically cut the line to the right length. I have my guard on, and I still get hit with stuff.

I agree with you that is frustrating to me thats why I work on a lot of my companies equipment myself the shops around here want even clean or rebuild a carburetor any more they just put on a new one they are basically part swappers now days. We are using the 2620T'S and are very happy with them so far seem to be a good trimmer. I like them better better than the stihl FS 94 R we used to use I couldn't keep clutches in them now I can't get my guys to keep the guards on any trimmer they do run the line a little long but the stihl is the only brand of trimmer i have ever had clutch problems with in 13 years of being in business. Great video Jeremy keep up the great work and videos. God Bless!!

Yep. I always worked on my equipment. One time I took a trimmer in for repair, I had a simular issue as on the vid. $70 & they didn't fix the problem I took it in for.

If a new carb is 40 and the rebuild kits are 20-25 I am just replacing the carb. Why would you not? If the carb is 80 and the rebuild is 15 then it might make sense but if someone is paying for the repair it is generally better to replace for return concerns

So against the law not to have a guard ( debris shield ) but ok for check valve missing & leaking fuel🤔. Bill states carburetor cleaned, if it was done they should have seen the check valve was missing. Curiosity & experiences such as this is what started me years back to do my own repairs. Stay well, Joe Z

i had a similar experience with my shop, i'm an ameteur small engine "tech" and i took my cs-400 to them to have the primer bulb changed, because i was busy that week and couldn't attend to fix it. when i got back, 22 bucks later i looked at the note and it said "wants to run away" on the description. i was like, Hm... what does that mean? So i started it and it "idled" at 1500 RPM and would not stop. i had a good friend look at it and the tech at the shop forgot to put the throttle linkage back into the slot they slide into....
