Dude, sturgeon are absolutely insane. Very fun to watch, so I can't imagine the rush of catching one. Nicely done. One thing to add though, it's important to note that sturgeon are an endangered species and just gotta work together to keep these things around. Be careful with them and always release. There's my public service announcement.

What an amazing fish! It was so much bigger when you pulled it out of the water, crazy how deep that creek really was to make that fish appear smaller. Heard you say you guys caught so many within a couple hours, can't wait to see those videos. I'm glad you were able to go on such a beautiful trip to fish in those crystal-clear waters. As always love the videos!

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed when I saw them because I thought, "For sure, those fish are just three feet long." Then Spencer says they are almost 7 feet long and when I hooked it, I realized he was not kidding in the least.

We had to convince it to take the bait (or at the least, mouth the bait), which was not easy or nearly as fun as it sounds, lol. But yeah, that creek was shockingly deep. Eight feet in some spots even though it looked like a foot.

Sturgeon (of any kind) are around the very top of my bucket list fish and these creeks that are loaded with them are just so fascinating and I wish I 1, knew where they were and 2, wish I could go today😂. I love fishing here in florida and it truly is like no other when it comes to fishing but I fish it so much and it would just be nice to mix it up some. @@wildlifefishingshow for sure man I love what you do and when I saw you went out for sturgeon I got extra excited cause that's the main freshwater fish (in North America) that I was never able to catch and they're such fascinating fish. My dad caught one when we lived in TN and it was pretty epic cause they're so rare there that you're supposed to contact TWRA and they'll give you a certificate and everything for catching one. You should try UR hand at Ice fishing for Sturgeon. We were in WI at lake Winnebago one year. It was dotted with fishing shanties and a huge festival on the ice in Fond du Lac, WI. I believe they were spear fishing. The hole was a limited size which was pretty small compared to what came out. Pretty cool

Howdy, I saw in a previous vid you had semi recommended the Piscifun Salis X trolling caster for Gar at the time, i was wondering if you had experience or recommendations on the Chaos XS Round Baitcaster? I am fairly new to the world of fishing so I am sure there is a difference between what those two were designated for? I should add that I'd be a bank fisher from ponds, creeks and lakes, as well as a creek wader in Ohio.

Are you at the Colombia river, and if so what side Oregon or Washington, asking because that looks like home to me. I am an hour south of the Oregon/Washington border. True story, in the early 80's I was down swimming in the N. Santiam river, like I did every day all summer when I was a kid. Went to step across a "LOG," on the bottom and it shot out from under me like a freaking rocket, it was a 6 foot minimum Sturgeon! That thing scared 7 colors of cat crap out of me! Great video Peyton, super enjoyed it!
