I treated myself to an upgrade from the Sony A7IV to the A7RV, mainly because I really wanted that nicer EVF and that wonderful articulated screen. All done at Park Cameras with ease and helpful advice (thank you, Ian). Some bucket list trips coming up so need to get used to the new camera. Loving it so far. Really liking the AI remove tools in LRC, but trying not to get too lazy when taking shots and thinking I can edit that out etc. Really enjoy your videos and enjoy coming to Park Cameras for my gear and advice. Happy new year to you all!

Happy New Year! 🎉🎉 Big ask I know but of you could see your way to giving us amateurs a rundown of what to look for regarding a photo editing monitor, plus some recommendations, I think that would make a great topic.

I moved from the Canon R7 with RF 35mm F1.8 macro + RF 50mm F1.8 to the Sony RX100III to the Panasonic Lumix S5II with 20-60mm and 50mm lens to the Sigma 24-70 f2.8 lens

Happy new year., and keep up the good vibes... One thing to mention which I'm afraid nobody mentions in the AI hype is the lack of security precautions on the cameras that we pay thousands ... What may be the reason behind of not, at least putting a password or biometric password on cameras for all these yeas .Do they wish to sell more due to thefts. You don't trust anyone no more! Regards.

Most people wouldn’t even use this option. Imagine having to put a password / code in every time you turn your camera on when out and about using it. You’d miss photo opportunities. Although I guess face recognition would work. Wonder how much extra they’d charge for that.

We live in an era where software rules big chunks of our lives. Canon is using software to correct even its expensive optics to create lenses that are faster but not smaller or lighter. The RF 35mm f1.4L VCM then in its footsteps the RF 24mm f1.4L VCM rely on software correction to correct vignetting and pin cushion distortion if left un-corrected but when corrected are true 24 & 35mm lenses and Canon are not alone.
