The trail is always super busy and easy to navigate so you're not going to get lost. There are parts where you are walking exposed rock face so you could slip and hurt yourself but you're not walking on the side of a mountain either. Now all being said it gets incredibly hot here in the summer. If you're not prepared with sunscreen, adequate water, proper footwear and some snacks this hike would be miserable. I wouldn't recommend doing it the middle of the day either, too damn hot, get out there early or wait.

I am planning on hiking that in a couple of weeks. I bought hiking poles.

Lol. I wouldn’t go by what we did. We had younger people pass us and we’re already heading back before we even went one way. The good news is you will make it, just bring plenty of water and take rest stops along the way.

For the average hiker 45-60 minutes from the parking lot to the arch. My son did it twice within 3.5 hours at 90-95 degrees. Bring at least 1/4 gallon of water, better more and a small snack.

It’s really not a difficult hike. But you must be in decent shape to do it. I was there 2 weeks ago and hiked up and down twice, as well as hiked twice up and down the cliff on the back side of the arch, which in some ways was a more difficult hike. Hiking up to Delicate Arch is a complete joy! If you get a little tired, just stop and take a short rest and then continue up. It’s my favorite place to be early in the morning before it gets crowded. I LOVE Delicate Arch.

It’s more about personal shape and stamina and pace yourself. Bring plenary of water and go early morning. Most of all take your time. I want to say it’s about 2 plus miles. Truthfully, if I can do it so can most people.

It's not worth it. I hiked all the way up there just to confirm that it looks just like the license plate
