It’s not just the Wokeness, Disney also had little to no script or storyboards for “Thor: Love & Thunder” and “Secret: Invasion”. I believe the director of “Secret Invasion” said they put the story together in editing! Question answers: 1. I don’t see Disney recovering any time soon because they are attached to Woke activism. 2. “Snow White” will be the next huge flop. 3. “Ant-Man” was probably the least offensive.

The car accident metaphor is a bit of an understatement. Disney has been mostly an ongoing parade accident for awhile now. Outside of GotG 3 (& Avatar 2), they've pretty much became a trainwreck of a parade; in which the Grand Marshall is blaming the watchers for either ruining the parade or not coming to see it. Meanwhile, they're ignoring the fact that they overpaid on the floats, thinking that they appeal to certain people, but then the floats either crash or they don't see the people that the floats are supposed to appeal to.

Modern Disney didn't create any of these franchises. They acquired them. Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar. Disney didn't create them so didn't work to build them and learn what made them work, what made them please customers. Even the classic animated Disney movies were not created by modern disney who turn them into soulless remakes. No one working at Disney has any understanding of their franchises or customers. Even 'CLASSIC' Disney didn't really 'create' much of anything... Nearly EVERY animated Disney movie starting with SNOW WHITE have been based on existing historic fables/folks stories/fairy tales/etc. I mean, Snow White, Cinderella, Beauty & The Beast, Aladdin, Lion King, Tarzan, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Peter Pan, etc, etc, are all essentially just interpretations/remakes of stories that already existed... All Disney can really take 'total' credit for might be the music/songs. Hell, the list of ORIGINAL Disney properties would be shorter! And if you think about it, haven't Disney ALWAYS been 'groomers'. They've been trying to 'trick' young boys into becoming fans of MUSICALS from the beginning! lol

They no longer seem satisfied with bothering to produce projects like Sound of Freedom with $15 Million production budgets that generate $130 Million box office and only result in $100 Million of profit... I mean they'd need TEN 'hits' like Sound of Freeedom to equal the profits from ONE lucky $200 Million budgeted & $1.5 Billion Box Office earning hit movie! You see the figures for Indy 5, and you see how it cost $300 million to make and only made $369 million, when apparently a movie needs to make triple its budget to break even. But then you look at the Super Mario movie, which made $1.35 billion against a budget of $100 million. Or Barbie, which was $1.05 billion and a budget of $145 million. Now I can’t speak for Barbie, but I know that Mario did so well because it gave us exactly what we wanted. No subverting our expectations (aside from video game movie curse); no putting Mario down and making him a bit character in his own movie; no reimaginings that make characters unrecognisable. It’s just a simple yet fun story about two Brooklyn-Italian plumbers beating up a giant fire-breathing turtle. Turns out that the way to make money is to understand what audiences want, rather than pushing your agenda and assuming the audience agrees with you.

I remember when they did the future MCU announcements at Comic Con years ago. It was during peak Marvel. It's sad to see how far things fell apart. Edit: I think Disney is terrified of selling properties like Marvel because they think once it's sold to a new studio, they'll make it successful again and Disney won't get cent. They're greedy. It's liek someone not wanting to break up a failing relationship because their scared their partner will find someone better.

I have seen none of those movies. And I don't just mean "going to the theater". I didn't even pirate them. No interest for anything Disney left in me. Same way I never watch Fox "News", well I don't even care what they produce anymore. It's what happens when you make dozens of shows and movies in a row that all completely suck: I'm never giving Disney any of time until well after it becomes common knowledge that Disney is great again. And if that never happens, well my mourning has been over 4 years ago.

1. Disney has a business model problem, and a culture problem. It's too big, too many different units, all with their own drivers, risks, customers, and no cohesion. Overspending with poor results is a symptom, but the cause is deeper. 2. The last MCU thing I enjoyed was Black Widow. I know, I'm not proud. Ant-Man was dire. 3. I'm looking forward to Bob Iger's star performance in the investor call tomorrow. If he's not persuasive about vision and fixing problems, they'll bail. That's basically it for Disney, as the banks and bondholders will pull credit. As DIS cannot run on revenue (lol, are you serious!? there is none, except pocket chain at the parks), they must run on credit. At what price?

The problem with Disney is they hire ACTIVIST, and activist pander to broken people or losers who blame others for their failures and refuse to change themselves. Activist always pander to those people because they are easy to manipulate and can convince them to vote or support a socialist cause. However they don't buy merch and normally don't see movies more then once. That's why they are going broke. They need to pander to dreamers people who dream in a better future and work to have a better future like old star wars fans and star trek fans and old marvel fans. Believing in a bright future and superhero is what positive people do .And that's why those Hollywood idiots call old school fans losers. Because they pander to the losers and never deal with winners who collect super expensive star wars toys just because they can.

Um, the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a SOLID entry into the franchise and a perfect ending, and it was Dial of Disintegration that ruined the brand. Don't even dare call Dial of Delirious "slightly better" than Crystal Skull!

1. Not for a long while. I honestly think Disney's upcoming projects are going to be bomb after bomb and it's kind of sad. (Minus Galaxy 3 and the resurgence of Elemental, but I think that's pretty much it, isn't it?) 2. Oh jeez. The Marvels. Definitely. I'm honestly kind of scared how hard that movie will bomb. The movie, as well as that stupid 90 dollar lego set. 3. I haven't seen any of them and have zero plan to.

Of the four you mentioned I saw Ant-Man and Secret invasion...... Ant-Man was just awful, no Louis really hurt, and Kang was just underwhelming for me. Secret Invasion was actually brand damaging IMO. I didn't read the comics but I had heard how good of a story it was that was looking forward to it. I didn't mind the slow pace, but it never got better. GotG 3 (outside of the Spider-Man movies) is my favorite since End Game. I'm almost on the tap out train with Disney overall

Traffic backups up at the scene of an accident because people slow down. They see a problem ahead and they slowdown to prevent themselves becoming part of it. Whilst traveling at a slower speed they look at the accident. Humans look at unusual things. Drivers do not slow down 'just to look'.

I'm hoping Ashoka will be good but I don't have any faith in Skeleton Crew or The Acolyte being good. Depending on how Ashoka goes will determine when I cancel my D+ subscription, during or after.

I heard some kids around 10 years old talking about movies, and one question was asked, Anyone want to go see The Little Mermaid? And one of them spouted off, no Disney suxx! And there you have it, right from out the mouths of babes! The market that Disney once catered to? Now totally disliking it! That is also hurting their parks for the first time as well, with all the flops the magic has gone out of the magic kingdom, and I think too much has gone on and the time has past, where Disney can fix it and it's just a matter of time when the fire sale happens? Oh! It already has, well then Disney has only themselves to blame!

Disney needs to relearn what it knew under Walt. It doesn't matter how good a story is. As long as you tell it well there will be an audience. Disney is having losses because all they have been telling since 2021 is political agenda, stories are flavor and background accents. They have hit the end of padding with talent drawing eye balls. That coffin was built with Aladdin's remake and is nailed tight with Secret Invasion. Walt cared about telling the story his way, for as many people as possible. The politics at Disney are, even before filming, shutting out anyone not aligned with it. Even some people who are for the agenda are now wondering if the stories are being lost. Take Mulan and its tonal contrast. The story, the bare bones story, was a coming of age tale of a girl taking on the life of a man to save her father from certain death. And the Triumph of even her nation's emperor excusing her breaking of their taboos to save the entire country. Where is her growth? Where is her fear of being found out? Where is her comic relief? You know Eddie Murphey's Mushu from Disney's first take on this script who highlighted her problems and kept the story on point for the audience. They even had warning of how losing that loses the point with the direct to DVD sequel. Disney needs people who love stories and know what the story means for the main character again. Then maybe some Directors who will listen to them. Can they pull off a comeback. Maybe, but they have to get back to trying to be for everyone again. And seeing anyone as an enemy because of politics is just going to poison that apple.

I don't see Woke Disney succeeding at another Seargent Garcia, he was repeatedly an alcoholic that was fat shamed just for starters. And its really hard to get up to Guy Williams quality in the role. I think only Anthony Hopkins came close since.

It will take a lot of hard work on Disney's end to recover which I wonder they can do even do. They have ruined so many franchises and movies that I don't even bother to go see them anymore. All Disney had to do is good stories and nurture their franchises and they would not have been in the shit show they are in now. Reason why Lucus sold Star Wars cause he's getting old and doesn't want to spend what he has left in life to make movies so he hoped Disney would carry out his vision. They could have too but . . . build up whatever characters Lucas has and go. Marvel: so much Disney could have done with FF and X-Men. Bit of reboot to Marvel without destroying what came before.
